Courses are very good but you have to choose wisely and the facilities are from the industry . The course is also well structured and the classes are more leaning towards creativity and designing instead fo studying the theories
Was interested in designing. And there are two test for admission one is CAT and GAt , the second test is the situation test. After both the test there is a general councelling round to choose the campus of your choice.

I love to draw and I was never interested in engineering and doctory ...I always wanted to do something in creative field. Initially when I was in 12 th I had no idea what to do but then after Sometime I got to know about nift and I decided to give nift exam. There are two stages for NIFT first is a GAT and second is CAT. Gat has two parts both of 100 marks. First is a online MCQ based test and second is a drawing exam. In the second stage also called situation test you are given a topic or theme and some materials and you have to create a 3d model using those materials according to the theme.

So there are 2 rounds of entrance exam in first there is a 5hrs (3+2)of test, 3hrs of drawing and 2hrs of GAT part. The drawing part is pretty easy and simple. YOU really need to focus on GAT part since there is negative marking.
Read Full ReviewAs I am a second-year student, the placements and job opportunities are available and every year recruiters and companies come if you want you can sit in placements and they'll select accordingly. Placements are for almost 100% of students, but students generally don't choose placements instead they do entrepreneurship and self jobs, br, etc.
This college is very good especially my department of Fashion Design (FD), it is preparing me well for future challenges and jobs, the bad aspect of my college is the syllabus of my department because other department students get unlimited free time due to no work and tiny syllabus but not same for us, the admission process is in rounds like CAT (written test) and gat (drawing test) after it (situation test) and then document verification then campus selection and final fee submission, cutt off varies every year depends on students strength. I prepared by joining tuition and self-study. Tuition is required to see or compare yourself with the rest of others where other students are currently in the syllabus.
Read Full ReviewNift conducts placement drives on different campuses to cover all the students. Faculties of Nift make sure that the student must get into such a company for an internship that will turn into a permanent job in the first place. Otherwise, the placement drive is there. The highest package in 2018 was 16lpa for fetch and the average was 8lpa. Sabyasachi, reliance trends, and decathlon are among the major recruiters in the placement drive. 70-80% of students get placement and 10-15% opt for their venture or further studies. I also opted to start my entrepreneurial journey after getting my degree.
I already had a vision of entering fashion college after school, and in that process, I got to know about NIFT and its course offerings. I researched all the scope and opportunities related to design and technology courses offered by NIFT and eventually got into preparing for the entrance exam. I find NIFT a very good government-based institution in India for fashion-related studies, I don't find any bad aspects of this institution but yes the culture and environment inside the institution are much more advanced and are not readily accepted by society. For technology-based courses a written exam is conducted followed by an interview, this will get you a rank and your admission will be decided by your rank and the course you are willing to enter. I prepared for this exam with one of my friends also preparing for the same entrance exam.

My initial interests in designing and creating new things made me apply for this college. There are three levels of examination: 1.) General Ability test (GAT)- which includes questions of general knowledge, easy mathematics, english etc. 2.)Creative Ability Test (CAT)- which is a test for the creative skills of a person. 3.)Situation test- In this test, students are given a situation and some material using which they have to make a 3D model in the given time on the spot.
