Overall good experience, it's according to the national curriculum of NIFT across all campuses. There is experienced faculty appointed, specialised in whatever subjects they are teaching. It's more of a practical based degree.

I chose this course because I was changing fields from science to design and I needed a proper design college to educate me needed, The faculty are qualified till master level and the teaching method mostly consists of unconventional methods, exams happen every 6 months and they are pretty easy, fees are a little high compared to a normal government college, but there is a scholarship named Sarthak for students in need of financial help.

Now my degree is Bftech(bachelor's in fashion technology) and my course is apparel production, now this course attracted me more after I came to college honestly, we are fashion and apparel technicians and are responsible for the whole manufacturing of the garment right from yarn to the selling the final product by the means of retail, e-commerce etc, This course is somewhat vast because we cover everything from garment construction, and pattern making for garments to IT, machinery and pieces of equipment and technology plus management, my faculty personally is very professional, knowledgable and understanding, teaching methods are quite conventional, and exams of the semester are taken assignment wise, mid assignment, end term assignment and final Jury in which you have to complete an assignment and present it to the jury panel, NIFT offers SARTHAK scholarship which covers fees of students according to their income status and reservations for SC/ST OBC etc.

I chose this course because I always wanted to make my career in fashion design and there is nothing better than to join Nift in my opinion. The qualification we need to get into NIFT is the student should’ve taken the 10+2 exam in any recognized board and hold a mark sheet while passing in all subjects or any diploma certificate. The exam timings are intimidated earlier and they are very strict about the timings of their exams. The difficulty level is medium to high. Nift also provides scholarships but the scholarships are only for the students who belong to particular categories.
