For admission to Nift, you need to first take their entrance exam which includes CAT(creative ability test) which includes drawing, and GAT(general ability test) which includes English grammar, maths, reasoning, reading comprehension, and gk. After that, if you clear their first round there is also a second round for the students who get selected which is a studio test. You need to make a 3d thing using the material they provide us which is best suitable according to the questions they give, again if you clear this round you’ll get ranks based on your marks in both rounds and then your rank decides which Nift campus you’ll be allocated in. Lesser the rank More your chances of getting into your desired campus. Also talking about nift kangra it is a superb campus with a good staff. The campus is very big and spacing, the food in the mess is very good according to other campuses and they also plan activities from time to time so it is fun to be here plus there is a lot of greenery
I chose this course because I always wanted to make my career in fashion design and there is nothing better than to join Nift in my opinion. The qualification we need to get into NIFT is the student should’ve taken the 10+2 exam in any recognized board and hold a mark sheet while passing in all subjects or any diploma certificate. The exam timings are intimidated earlier and they are very strict about the timings of their exams. The difficulty level is medium to high. Nift also provides scholarships but the scholarships are only for the students who belong to particular categories.
Not yet I am thinking of doing a one-month internship in the Ministry of Textiles Delhi, as Nift comes under the Ministry of textiles they might provide internships to Nift students. Also, the mentors give details about different internships we can do
For getting a good placement you need to create a portfolio of your best works. The better the work more the chances you have to get a good placement. Every year almost 10-12 students get placed i every department. You can also search for jobs on your own by talking to your mentor. I plan on searching job on my own.
Campus life is very fun. Different clubs organise different things weekly you can never get bored in Nift Kangra. They celebrate every festival joyfully. We currently have 4 clubs which are Sekiro for sports, Munshi Lit Chand for literary, Ibtida for environment, and Aaroh for cultural people. Except for the club we also have freshers in Sept/October, Navratri celebration all 9 days, spectrum in Feb, and various other events. We also have a huge library where you can find almost every book needed for your course. There are 4 girls' hostels located inside the campus. There is no hostel for boys they need to find PG nearby which is easily available and affordable. The hostel has different rooms and different sharing initially you’ll either get a twin sharing or four sharing and then afterward you can shift according to your comfort.
The university provides good placement and internship opportunities. The training, guidance, and support are helpful, and the process is well-organized. Overall, the experience is positive, and students get valuable exposure for their careers.
Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.
I choose ba as I needed a bachelors degree to pursue llb . All the faculty members are highly qualified and well educated and every teacher has their own teaching method. The exams are conducted annually for BA which is not very difficult
placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

This is the only university that provides you 100% placement the internship are also great A whole lot of companies came here and provide you suitable packages according to your skills .the internship starts from the third year and it provides you the time to grind your skills
I got this based my JEE advanced rank. The faculty student ratio, typically between 15:1 and 20:1, allows for personalized attention and interaction. Faculty are well qualified for the job and their teaching methods are very good. The exams have a typical timeline and they are quite challenging to pass.
There are 36 companies that come to this college every year are maximum student get placements every year. Maximum placment probability is from computer science engineering . Highest package from this college is 1.7 cr
