In my course particularly, jobs and placement opportunities are vast, packages aren't much when you start but as you gain experience the packages boost at a higher rate, at the end of the second year we have to do our first textile internship at a textile industry or mill, at the end of our third year we will have to do our apparel internship at an apparel production house or export house both of these are unpaid, in this course, networking is very important and you can do internship from outside with your network, the minimum package is 8LPA in placements, mostly we get PPO from out GP which is graduation project which we do in our 8th semester and we can either take the PPO of sit in the placements, but as placements are centralised we can go to any campus to get placements, but a company which offers us jobs are export houses and production houses or we can also work in fashion oriented IT company, manufacturing and technological operations, merchandising and retailing projects

For getting a good placement you need to create a portfolio of your best works. The better the work more the chances you have to get a good placement. Every year almost 10-12 students get placed i every department. You can also search for jobs on your own by talking to your mentor. I plan on searching job on my own.
