I chose the course because i wanted to put my skills in to action in the management and marketing field. Term exams were conducted at the end of every semester and it was moderately easy. The faculties were well educated and qualified. They are very well trained and helpful.

Nift offers strong academic programs that prepares students for successful career in fashion industry. There might be experienced faculty in nift but the teaching methodology might nit be suitable for some Students

I was really passionate about this course from my childhood and hopefully I got what I wanted...the faculty is really good they cover each and every part of the syllabus and make sure that every student is understanding what they are teaching...for me the studying part was difficult math general knowledge and everything

the curriculum is now becoming better and will probably keep getting better since it has started to adapt new techs and have also incorporated AI into the curriculum. Softwares used in the current industry are taught and it's easier to engage in the industry.

There wasn’t any particular reason for me choosing Leather design. Honestly, it did not matter to me which department I was in as long as I was in Nift. All of the faculties are extremely knowledgeable as most of them have prior experiences in the industry itself. Although the teaching methods are according to what they feel is best, it also depends on the students and what kind of learning they prefer. Term exams or jury are nothing short of nightmares with crazy amounts of work and then getting roasted every time. Please check your pockets before joining Nift as it is not going to be easy on your bank account especially if you are in Leather design. All the Nift campuses do offer the SARTHAK scholarship where you can get a certain percentage off of the actual fee each semester. You can check more about this on the official Nift website.

We're taught everything including Garment construction, Pattern making, Python, AI basics, Machine Management, 2D CAD, Apparel Merchandising, Apparel Quality control, Fabric sciences, Material Handling, Art and Design aesthetics, Research methodology and the list goes on. The Nift curriculum keeps changing according to the trend, cause we know fashion changes every day! At NIFT we don't have exams instead we have juries. In a jury a student is supposed to present his/her work in front of a jury panel, Mostly they roast you if you're a design student. Faculties at NIFT CHENNAI for BFTECH are true GEM! Well skilled. They are very helpful and understanding. Their industrial experience is all that we look forward to listening to. Such practical lectures make us understand how an industry will work. For scholarship we have SARTHAK. Fees at NIFT are 12lac for 4 years, the machinery the technology, and the facilities that NIFT offers it's all worth it.
