Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), located in New Delhi, is one of the premier dental institutes in India. Affiliated with the University of Delhi (DU), MAIDS is the only dental institution under DU, offering BDS and MDS courses along with patient care and research activities. Recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and declared a 'Center of Excellence' by the Government of Delhi, MAIDS is highly esteemed in the field of dental education.
In the NIRF Ranking 2023 for Dental Stream, MAIDS is ranked 4th. It was the first medical college to receive the FICCI Excellence Award in 2011 and the first dental institute to be accredited by the prestigious NABH. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Dental Sciences, with a BDS course intake of 50 students at the UG level and MDS courses in nine dental specialties at the PG level. Admission to these courses is based on NEET UG and NEET MDS respectively. According to the MAIDS NIRF Report 2023, the median package offered during placements was INR 14.15 LPA for BDS graduates and INR 17.15 LPA for MDS graduates.
