The campus is great and one of the best ones in India. It is quite safe and peaceful. There is a park, sports ground, swimming pool, badminton court, tennis court, and much more in the campus itself. All the departments are within the campus and within walking distance from our hostel.
The location of the college is in Chowk, Lucknow, in the heart of the city. It has great connectivity from everywhere which is very helpful.
The faculty here are very friendly and supportive.
Much of the management here is last minute which keeps the students stressed, especially during exam time. We are informed about our exam schedule, attendance issues, manual issues mostly at the last minute. This makes the students anxious and stressed without any reason.
This place might get toxic for some people. Not everyone is your friend, and there are people who will try to pull you down and make you fall. MBBS is not for the weak hearted.
The admission is solely through the rank of the NEET exam. I chose this college because of its reputation, ranking in India, location, as well as academics. The campus is one of the best in India. The main focus for everyone is their studies and career. There are a lot of extracurricular events going on around the year as well. The batch strength of 250 enables us to socialize and get a taste of the actual world out there, which, in my opinion, is a great way to build one's personality as well as connections. One thing this college lacks is the presence of proper societies for academics as well as extracurriculars. There are a few, for instance, the KGMU Music Society and TRACK—Research Organization of KGMU.
But there is space for much more. The cutoff varies for different quotas. For the general category, it is around 1500 AIR for the All India Quota and 3000 AIR for the UP State Quota. Of all the seats, 85% are reserved for students of UP domicile, and the rest 15% are under AIQ.

Course Curriculum Overview: I chose MBBS because I always wanted to become a doctor right from my childhood and wanted to serve society. All faculties here are qualified with post graduation in that branch, and some are even more qualified. We have a Head of Department, Professors, Additional Professors, Assistant Professors, and Senior Residents in each department. The teaching method is mostly through PowerPoint presentations. It can get boring and monotonous sometimes, but it largely depends on the teacher. Some teachers also teach through blackboards. Most of the faculty in my college are very good teachers, especially those from clinical departments. The classes offer a lot to learn and incorporate.
Term exams are conducted 2-3 times in an academic year. The difficulty level is usually moderate. Questions are usually asked about topics that we should know and study. The fee structure is such that the first year's fee is Rs. 54,900, and for the next 4 years it is Rs. 38,000. This includes the hostel fees as well.

Internship Opportunities: There is a mandatory internship for 1 year after course completion for all students. Only after completing our internship do we receive our MBBS degree. The internship is provided by the college itself, and we have to complete our internship at the college. What is the stipend? 12,500 per month. Students are posted in various departments through rotation, and there they learn and practice under their seniors. Unfortunately, due to the pressure of NEET-PG, most of the students are unable to gain much experience during their internships.
Placement Experience: There are no placements as such in MBBS. Students, after completing their course, can either start practicing or appear for the NEET-PG Exam for post graduation. The UP government has now mandated a 2-year rural service bond for students who don't clear their PG entrance exam on the first attempt. The average salary for a junior resident is? 10 lakhs per year.

Campus Life: Campus life is amazing. It can get toxic sometimes, given the burden of the degree, but overall, it is a great place to spend the best 5 1/2 years of one's life. The annual festival of the college is called Rhapsody, and it is usually conducted in the months of November-December.
Since the college is in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, it offers a great balance between social and academic life. There are few clubs in the college, but there is no proper system and a lot of scope for improvement in this field. The library and classrooms are of the best quality. A large number of books and journals are available in the library and can be issued using a library card.

Classrooms are high-tech, equipped with AC, LED screens, and speakers, and can accommodate up to 600 students at once. The sports ground, S.P. Ground hosts several sports events around the year, and the annual sports week is celebrated in December. A decent hostel facility is available for all students. Food quality in the mess is average.
