One of the downsides of our college is the hostel and its dilapidated state. The boy's hostels are the worst and there is a constant shortage of water and it's not clean. The food is manageable but the cleanliness of the food is questionable. However, there are always other options available in and around the campus if you want a better standard of living. The process for hostel admission is not that cumbersome as you get asked about your preference for the hostel upon admission itself. Usually, those getting admission in the first rounds of counselling would get hostels easily as compared to the others. Hostel preference is given to those living farther from the campus than others. The hostels are cheap though as they cost only 40 rs per month. The mess fee is separate and amounts to about 3300 per month.
First of all the good things about our college would include the excellent infrastructure our college has in comparison to other government medical colleges not just in the state but all all over the country. We have an indoor court and stadium, an air-conditioned auditorium, a match-sized pitch, ground and nets for cricket, and a proper football ground. Our college happens to be one of the best when it comes to arts and rightly so as Throssur is regarded as the cultural capital of Kerala. We have an air-conditioned lecture hall, projector and a nice library which is regularly updated with the latest journals and articles across the field of medicine. The books in our library also happen to be top quality books and we can refer them whenever we want. There are a lot of different clubs like nature club, arts club, sports club and many more which are run by the students to increase our interest in extracurricular activities. overall we have around 20 different clubs.

Read Full ReviewThe campus is very large and it is delightful in every way. It has not only the hospital and college (separate buildings), but it also has an indoor stadium, a football and cricket ground, gym, garden and several auditoriums. We usually have lot of festivities almost every month as our college is very involved in fine arts. Higher level competitions include inter-batch fine arts, All Kerala medical/ayurvedic/dental/homeopathic college fine arts, inter-med fine arts. Smaller fests include Carnival, sports events etc. Our campus boasts of a gym which also contains 2 table tennis tables and modern gym equipment. We also have a large football ground. For cricket, we have training nets and The Oval (like in official test matches). We also have an indoor stadium where basketball and badminton are played. Academic groups are very common here. Social life is high among your own batch, but there are groups that help you mingle with students of other batches as well.

Read Full ReviewThe hostel mess is quite good for a government hostel, it is run by a students mess union so we have a say on the kind of food served and the quality of food, we have a non vegetarian option everyday and the only issue I've seen in our mess is that the food gets over quite quickly. We have a hostel application form we can fill during our admission process to the college, as it is a government facility it is quite cheap. It's located in the campus itself, nearby to the academic complex.
There are fests every now and then, although it is a medical college sometimes we forget we're attending a professional course and it's as fun or even more fun than any arts college. We have intercollege sports and cultural fests held regularly like the vertigo which is our own colleges sports fest and the plasma which is an intercollegiate dance fest. There are various clubs run here like the academic club, sports club, van club which are very active and continously conduct events for the students studying here.
