My college life

What I Liked

Campus have a great oudoor space, and air is clean
Many indoor and outdoor field and court are there

What I didn’t like

Hostel are getting old. Some even have cracked walls
Wish we have a better road inside campus

Placement Experience:

After finishing final year students are provided with intership in the college itself. Which is for like 1 year, during which students must stay in hostels. Salary wise too it's quite good compared to other colleges here in the state

Remarks:

To get a seat in our college we first have to clear our neets after which state councelling are don't which allot us our seats. Faculties are very good. With good campus space attached with gyms and sports fields

What I Liked

Gymkhana....a good place for indoor sports
Rims cafe..all delicious food items are available

What I didn’t like

roads of hostel can be better..its like broken everytime
the quality of boys hostel...they are such 50 years old buildings

Placement Experience:

we don't have any placement by college...like internship is there ...but...its for one year...the junior residentship also there...its for one year only...they pay a good amount like 1 lac per month in jr ships...

Remarks:

I'm an MBBS student...u have to clear neet exam to join this college. the application process is in It is own website...yes st sc news reservations are available...all are good to go...a good college a very big campus....u have to clear the new exam to enter this college

Best medical College in northeast

What I Liked

Infrastructure having modern lecture hall
Campus having huge area,good hostel and playground

What I didn’t like

Food not as good as home made and the price of mess is high
Water availability sometimes become a issue

Placement Experience:

Internship is available after passing the final year MBBS exam. They generally pay a hefty amount during internship somewhere around 30k per month. After doing my internship I have plans to clear my neet pg exam for doing my pg

Remarks:

Have been one of my dream college because of its high prestige ,rank, facilities,good teaching staff. I have able to come to this clg by giving neet UG exam and taking admission through northeast open quota.

Pros and Cons pursuing MBBS from RIMS,Imphal

What I Liked

One of the best college in the North east....and being a central college has its own perks. The faculty is one of the best with atleast 15-20 years of teaching experiences
The campus life is no doubt full of fun and enjoyment staying in the hostels.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure is a little old and needs to be renovated.
The hostel mess is not good and food quality should be increased

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pursuing an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) has always been my dream and that is how I chose to prepare for it during my classes 11 and 12. For qualification for MBBS in a govt. In medical college, one has to score a good enough rank in the NEET exam. The faculty in this college are highly qualified with teaching and practicing experience of at least 20 years.

Remarks:

The most important factor for choosing this college is its prestigious alumni and foundation. RIMS, Imphal was founded in 1971, and since then produced hundreds of renowned and prestigious doctors all around the country.

RIMS IMPHAL

What I Liked

The total area of campus is just unimaginable. It is bigger than any other medical college in India.
We are being provided with world class facilities.

What I didn’t like

There is no night life outside the college.
Only way to reach is via flight. There is no other option of transport.

Placement Experience:

We get placement in our own college. After completing internship we get junior residency in our college. It can be of 6 months or a year it depends on what you choose. After that you may give pg entrance and enter. After post graduation there is mandatory senior residency.

Remarks:

One of the best college in India. It is central government funded college. The faculties are world class. They are renowned practitioners. The facility provided are just unimaginable. The salary provided is much more as compared to other college.

Me as a student in RIMS

What I Liked

First of all,it is a central college.It is very big with all the educational dfacilities.The study environment is strict.
The teachers are cooperative and the standard of questions they set during our exams is quite high.

What I didn’t like

The mess food is very bad.Most of the students spend their money in buying food stuffs.
The library closes at 4pm sharp and we cannot study further.

Placement Experience:

I need to pass Phase III PART II professional exams that is final year exams to be elligible for internship.There is no placements available.we need to sit for PG entrance examination or apply for Junior residentship for a maximum of 1 year.

Remarks:

I had to appear NEET UG 2021.I was selected for this college in order of merit.I had to come and sit for the offline spot round held at RIMS Imphal once the merit list is released.RIMS has been my dream college for long time.

Regional Institute of Medical sciences and its journey.

What I Liked

Infrastructure of the college is great , faculty is one of the finest in the country
The campus life is also very decent specially the hostel life.

What I didn’t like

The dislikes stands as the exam schedules
The heavily packed routine of the students.

Placement Experience:

Internship is for 1 year in the hospital premises. And the stipend in the internship holds around ?30,070/-. And one gets to practice in various departments and learn a lot from the respective departments.

Remarks:

This college is a central university apart from which the college has a huge patient load and the super speciality courses are also available in the hospital. The faculty of the college is one of the finest in the country thereby which it leads to such a delight to study in this college.

RIMS- THE PRIDE OF NORTHEAST

What I Liked

The campus is big and infrastructure is always developing towards good
The study opportunity is really good and faculty is great

What I didn’t like

The food in mess sometimes is not tasty and feel dull
There should be more concert and fests in the campus

Placement Experience:

There are no placement as such in medical college but there is mandatory internship present in the college after 4 years of Ug life and thus there is salary of around 25000-30000 per month for one year

Remarks:

We have to give NEET exams for medical entrance and then state round counseling for the MBBS seat. There is 1st round 2nd round as well as mop up round for Northeeast state domicile students . For non northeast students they have to apply thorugh All India counselling
