Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education., U.P. in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy, and Architecture).

• Passed three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject from any recognized University, securing 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
• The candidate who have passed qualifying exam from other that Uttar Pradesh State and whose parents are not domicile of U.P. State are not eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Tech. (Lateral Entry)

• Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied Sector
• Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc.Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
• The candidate has to clear the subjects Engg. Graphics /Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the First-Year Engineering Programme along with second-year subjects.
