Good and bad about G H patel college of engineering and technology

What I Liked

Computer labs are very good with Fats computer and AC lans
Every class has smart board which is good for visualising topics.

What I didn’t like

No sports activities as there are no ground
Some of the faculties have no proper knowledge about subjects that they are teaching.

Placement Experience:

To be eligible for placement there should be no current backlog and cgpa limit is set by recruiters. Few of the recruiters are MG, Exxat, Royal cheese, odoo,meditab etc. average pacake is around 4LPA. Previous years placements were very good but this year few students are placed

Internships Opportunities:

I have not currently applied for intership as I am in 3rd year. But I have done some online internship where i learnt to create simple games in c++ and project given in internship are very basic though I have few things from this internship.

Great experience

What I Liked

The college's campus is good and the faculty is great.
The infracture is ok but it might have been better.

What I didn’t like

The college infrastucture must be improved is it has become quite old
The campus is small and due to it the campus is congested.

Placement Experience:

Around 72 companies had visited our college for offering the job. The QSpiders is the company that had offered the highest jobs(around 21) for the students. The highest package was of 800000 and the lowest package is 120000.

Internships Opportunities:

I am currently in 5th sem and the internship is in the 8th sem so i have not experienced any internship yet. The opportunities for getting an internship from good companies like tcs and the college trying to give efforts in that direction.

GCET-college of dreams? I think not

What I Liked

course structure of GCET which follows GTU
faculties are well experienced and know about thier subjects thoroughly

What I didn’t like

campus of my college is very small compared to other colleges
only 2-3 events occur in my college which is very less
class rooms are very old fashioned with old benches

Placement Experience:

main criteria is cgpa it should be above 6 for most of the companies to accept you for interview round last year 273 students were placed and 73 companies visited highest package awarded was 8 lakhs and lowest was 1.5 lakhs my plans after college is to go for higher studies abroad i am currently preparing for GRE right now

Internships Opportunities:

right now i havent opted for any internships because i am in my 5th sem of college i will opt for it when i am in 8th sem i dont have much idea but usually students try to get internship in placement round but if they dont students are always allowed for out of campus internships

What I Liked

campus is very near to college hostel and there is sports room for indoor games
security guard does not ask for your college id

What I didn’t like

campus is very small(literally feels like ye to shuru ho k hi khatam ho gya yrr)
not all classes have an ac rooms, once a week lectures are from 9 to 5

Placement Experience:

Eligibility might be 7 CGPA or more however it can vary based on the company, the recruiters are fro reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Adani, torrent power, crest, tatvasoft, argusoft, Zeus learning, etc in our dept highest package for this year is 8lpa and min is 3lpa avg should be around 5lpa.

Internships Opportunities:

I'm in 2nd year so I don't have knowledge of that but I heard from one or two seniors that internships are quite decent and the college placement coordinator also creates a team to help applicants get any internship, some internships might be paid, and some might provide a stipend.

Really in My College

What I Liked

College faculty is very rich in terms of knowledge
Campus life is also memorable in the college

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure is not as modern colleges.
Canteen facility for enjoyment is not proper

Placement Experience:

The placement of students number is increasing every year, In the season of 2024-25. 250+ students are placed. Many companies from Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, and Rajkotare coming in, and the college for multidisciplinary branches.

Honest Review of GCET.

What I Liked

I like the campus like and Faculty support.
I also like the hostel and time spend in college with my friends.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is old and not so good.

Placement Experience:

As I said many known companies com every year on campus like Tatvsoft, crest data system, and many more. And for an internship, you have to find companies on yours. After completion, you can expect your annual package of 4.5-5 lpa and the highest will go up yo 12 lpa.

My GCET Experience :A review

What I Liked

Canteen, garden, labs are good overall.
Social club, Sport events and Techfest are best which are loved by every student

What I didn’t like

I would say one thing I doesn't like is library .
I would say the fountain in the center of the garden is worst and its not in working condition

Placement Experience:

Placement criteria are depends on company, but i guess its above 6/6.5 cgpa overall to qualify. Many company like MG MOTORS.EINFOCHIPS,INFOSYS,ADANI,ATUL,ACE INFOTECH,VOLANSYS,TORRENT AND ETC almost 85% or near by are get placed i am planning to pursue Maters

I am currently doing internship online with ISRO and offline in E-infochips there are projects and task in every semester and stipend are nearly above 10000 about project i would say for every subject there is individual task and project given

GCET : Sculpting Engineers

What I Liked

The peer group you get is quite diverse with people from different backgrounds.
The cultural and youth team of the college is very active under the guidance of Yogesh Chauhan sir.

What I didn’t like

Sometimes, the faculty can be a bit egoistic in giving grades.
The campus is a little bit away from the centre of VVN.

Placement Experience:

Many companies visit the campus for placement like TCS, Tatvasoft, etc. Their criteria differ with different companies. Every year, a few students grab 8-9 LPA packages while the average lies at 3-4 LPA. Almost all students who oft for placements get it. I am planning to pursue a masters after my graduation.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internships as of now. We have a different system than most colleges. For us, we can intern at companies during the last semester of the degree. Mostly, students opting for placements go with this path while others get involved in projects.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority released the round 4 seat allotment on July 10, 2024. Candidates who registered for JoSAA can check the round 4 seat allocation on the official website @josaa.nic.in. Candidates having their names in the list need to pay for the seat is July 15, 2024. Candidate
