St Martin’s Engineering College (SMEC) is a private engineering institute founded in 2002. NBA accreditation applies to the CSE, CSE with Data Science, and CSE with AI and Machine Learning branches. As an autonomous college, SMEC follows an updated curriculum within the JNTUH R22 regulation framework. SMEC Hyderabad Admission Process

SMEC fills regular B.Tech seats through the TS EAMCET convener route, lateral entry seats through TS ECET, and a limited number of seats under the management quota. The requirements and selection steps vary by route.

B.Tech Admission Through TS EAMCET

For convener quota admission, TSCHE assigns seats entirely on the basis of a student’s TS EAMCET rank. Applicants must complete the counselling process and meet the academic requirements.

  • Eligibility: Pass 10+2 or Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Biology is accepted for selected branches. The minimum aggregate is 45%, or 40% for SC and ST students.
  • Entrance requirement: Applicants need a valid TS EAMCET rank.
  • Admission steps: Obtain a TS EAMCET rank, register for TSCHE web counselling, complete certificate verification, enter preferred options, receive the seat allotment and report to the college.

Demand is higher for CSE and its specialisations, so these courses generally close at lower ranks than ECE and EEE. Students ranked from 1 to 80,000 commonly consider SMEC CSE during TS EAMCET web counselling, but the actual closing rank changes in every cycle.

B.Tech Lateral Entry Through TS ECET

Applicants with an engineering diploma or a B.Sc degree with Mathematics can seek direct admission to the second year of the relevant B.Tech branch. TSCHE manages this route through TS ECET counselling. A total of 10% of B.Tech seats is reserved for lateral entry students.

Management Quota Admission

SMEC directly fills a limited management quota according to 10+2 marks, the NRI or NRI-sponsored category, and institutional rules. The fee for these seats is the same as the fee charged for convener quota seats.

SMEC Hyderabad Campus and Infrastructure

SMEC occupies a 17-acre campus on Dhulapally Road near Kompally, Secunderabad. HITEC City and Gachibowli, the main Hyderabad IT hubs, are 25 km away. Students can reach the area through TSRTC bus services and connections from Kompally township.
