I chose this college as it is one of the top private colleges that offer Bsc Economics (Hons. with research) program. The college is situated in Pune city, which is the upcoming banking and financial hub of the country, with its many IT parks and Banking Services. I appeared for the SET exam (Symbiosis Entrance Test), which was a purely computerised exam, covering quants, general knowledge, logical reasoning and english proficiency. Then, based on my percentile, I landed a PI (personal interview) session where i had a one-on-one interview with the faculties of this college. We are required to have a minimum of 60% in our class 12 boards in order to proceed with the admission process.

The reason I chose this college is because it offers the bsc degree in economics. The admision process is quite simple. There is a comman aptitude test after which there is a personal interview round where they test your communication skills and basic school academics.

I chose to be a part of Symbiosis because of its good reputation. Symbiosis colleges add value not just to the CV but also to the individual's personality which is true to some extent. For admissions, a symbiosis-centric entrance exam, SET is conducted which also includes WAT (Written Ability Test) and based on SET scores, colleges are allowed. Then a Personal Interview is conducted and a final list is released. SET is similar to another entrance exam. Any good coaching center would do justice to the entrance exam preparations and for interviews, I took a few mock interviews, prepared basic questions, practiced communication, and revised old concepts subject to the course. At Symbiosis School of Economics, here, the faculty is quite helpful, you get good exposure via guest lectures and boot camps, the course structure is well crafted, and it is a research-oriented course. However, infrastructure is not adequate and placements are poor. Overall, the college experience is decent.
