- Social Life is great as most of the students are hostellers. Our everyday hustle is unique, can be difficult at times but overall it fun and a must have experience.
- Faculty is extremly helpful and guides in all aspects.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is inadequate causing unnecessary problems in daily operations.
- Final Placements is someting everyone looks upon and not even a quarter of the batch gets placed.
Remarks :
I chose to be a part of Symbiosis because of its good reputation. Symbiosis colleges add value not just to the CV but also to the individual's personality which is true to some extent. For admissions, a symbiosis-centric entrance exam, SET is conducted which also includes WAT (Written Ability Test) and based on SET scores, colleges are allowed. Then a Personal Interview is conducted and a final list is released. SET is similar to another entrance exam. Any good coaching center would do justice to the entrance exam preparations and for interviews, I took a few mock interviews, prepared basic questions, practiced communication, and revised old concepts subject to the course. At Symbiosis School of Economics, here, the faculty is quite helpful, you get good exposure via guest lectures and boot camps, the course structure is well crafted, and it is a research-oriented course. However, infrastructure is not adequate and placements are poor. Overall, the college experience is decent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose economics as I was from a commerce background and economics was something I wanted to study further. As mentioned earlier, the faculty is well-qualified and helpful however, there is a need for more teachers. The curriculum is well-crafted and quite rigorous. It is holistic in the manner, internships are compulsory every year and time is allotted for that. Internal as well as external projects are part of the course and extra courses are encouraged such as courera and swayam. The college also provides classes to study software like Stata, R, and Python. Fees are average, cost of living nearby is also decent. Symbiosis does not provide any scholarships. Scholarships under government schemes and NGOs can be availed.
Internships Opportunities :
Every student compulsorily undertakes two internships, an NGO internship and later a corporate internship. The college placement cell does not provide NGO internships but does send a list of potential NGOs and guides with the application and referrals. A few internship opportunities are provided by the placement cell for corporate internships but students prefer to look out for one on their own according to their interests and the college helps them with application guidelines and recommendation letters.
Placement Experience :
The college is still building upon for placements and very less job opportunities are available. Most of the students plan for a master's after college and or look for a job on their own. As per previous data, SSE students can get into a good college for a master's and at least get an average-paying job at the well reputed organization as the curriculum does focus on industry-oriented skill development.
Campus Life :
The majority of the students at SSE are hostellers. On-campus life is average. We do have an annual fest, Niverve which is decent. Since we have a small campus and less crowd, college social clubs are mostly dead and Fest is always a failure due to lack of funds and interest of students. Although students get an opportunity to be a part of college clubs and multiple departments of the fest along with the student council which does guarantee great exposure. However, off-campus, life can be fun, Pune is a good city with many happening places to hang out. College hostels are good but quite expensive, there are many good and affordable PGs available at a walkable distance from college. Mess and canteen offer decent food but options nearby are better. Most students prefer to rent a flat near college. Social life here has been the best experience for all of us which has transformed us as a person in a positive sense.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.

Placement are very good there are multiple job opportunities provided in a college multiple companies also visit for the placement in second third year students also internship provided and multiple students get PPO from that internship so but in 2024 the internship and placement both ratio is little low or the highest placement gone till now is only 35 lakh per annum
