The reason I chose this college is because it offers the bsc degree in economics. The admision process is quite simple. There is a comman aptitude test after which there is a personal interview round where they test your communication skills and basic school academics.
The curriculum is comprehensive and tough, ranging from basic to deep quant economics. Exams are held twice every semester in the form of internals and externals. They are hard and need to be studied for.
Internship opportunities were plenty. A lot of startups came to our college to hire interns. Companies like ey parethon were also there. The roles offered were business analyst or data analysit. About 4-6 companies in total came to hire interns.
Placements are no so good. Around 40 percent of the children who sat for placements for the job. The avg package was 6 lakhs while the median was 5 lakh. For most companies, eligibility criteria is for the student to not have backlog and a cgpa above 6
The semester fee ranges from 125000 to 140000. Caution fee of 20000 is also taken. The fee includes medical coverage from the symbiosis hospital. Children who came through management quota have to pay double the fee
Total three fests are conducted in the months of February to march. One is the flagship economics event and one college fest and one sports fest. There are also various student led clubs which operate throughout the year. The library is top notch with an amazing library portal.
I personally did not opt for the hostel but what I know is the food quality is not that good but a total of 4 meals are given throughout the day. Hostel fee is about 140000 per year and message fee is 75000 per year.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
