B.SC	Hospitality & Hotel Administration

Eligibility Criteria for getting admission in B.SC course

Applicants must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent of marks in their 10 + 2 from a recognised board or any other equivalent in India.
Applicants must have studied English and scored a minimum of 50 per cent of marks in their 10 + 2 you either as an elective subject or as a core subject.
Applicants from a foreign country must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent of marks in their 10 + 2 from the recognized foreign board.
Applicants must have qualified for the NCHMCT JEE exam to get admission to the B.Sc course.

Selection criteria of IHM, Mumbai

For providing admission in B.SC the IHM considers the NCHMCT JEE entrance exam, the institute prepares a merit list based on the entrance exam according to which it selects students for admission.

What I Liked

Good teachers with knowledge and experience
Good exposure to the real world and learning alot of new stuff

What I didn’t like

Poor building. Ceilings are literally falling
Rude , insensitive and egoistic teachers

I had to give nchm exam and depending on my all India rank I was given a college according . Nothing else unlike the other private colleges . I chose this course as I was interested in front office ..

What I Liked

Faculty , College events and fests, placement opportunities, campus life

What I didn’t like

Small campus, No proper academic calendar provided

Remarks:

IHMCTAN is a government run hospitality management college that provides good opportunities by providing industrial training and placements in India's top hotels. Also the faculty here are top class with good experience in teaching as well as the industry. Admission process includes a written exam that is held annually by NCHM. It includes logical reasoning, numerical analysis, general knowledge and english questions. Books related to this exam are sold in the market. Cutoff every year varies according to number of students giving the exam.

What I Liked

Campus Life kitchen and chefs are very good and skillful
Faculty and ground playful and enjoyable

What I didn’t like

Strict rules won't let us in even if we are. Munite late and won't Mark us present
Won't let to sit for exam if not 75% attendence

Remarks:

College grade and rank and nice kitchen staffs and chefs we play cricket basketball cook meals institute of hotel management mumbai is 2nd ranked college all over Mumbai in for any hotel management course and placement is very nice

Remarks:

I fight for NCHMCT-JEE exam in june 2022. Application fee for general candidate is Rs 1000. Paper consist 4 parts, english, general knowledge, reasoning, service aptitude of 10th class level. Admission is based on all india rank.

What I Liked

Campus life is full of excitement and best part of IHM MUMBAI.
Placement drive have lot of opportunities to proove them and also build themselves.

What I didn’t like

Their is lack infrastructure for outdoor sports.

Remarks:

One of the pioneer and oldest Hospitality college in INDIA and situated at prime hub of hospitality industry, MUMBAI. You have to clear NCHM-JEE, conducted every year in month of May - June.Admission is based on AIR.

What I Liked

location is the prime benefit near to dadar beach and shivaji stadium which is good refreshment for bunking.
The library has vast range of books and also the canteen has various variety of foods to order

What I didn’t like

It is also near to residential area so students cannot make a huge groupings outside the college
The locker room was not maintend properly at that time

Remarks:

No, I haven't done any group discussion all we need is a good NCHMCT score to crack this college. I have gone through rounds of counseling where we do need to submit and verify our documents. A very good college for personnel who are seeking a career in hospitality and hotel management.

What I Liked

College is very close to beach and dadar market
Faculty is all super nice all are very supportive and help you in every step

What I didn’t like

College building is built back in 1950s so it is old
Gates are closed after 9 and then get open for one hour in lunch

Remarks:

You have to take an entrance test which is conducted by NTA called NCHM-CT then based on the score you will get into the college. I prepared for the exam from the book called NCHM-CT (Arihant). It is good for preparation and also there are many coaching that you can opt for and prepare.

What I Liked

Cultural events celebration. Good faculty.
Has scholarship facility and in campus hostels for students

What I didn’t like

Most of the best faculties are leaving the college.
And fees has been increased from 2023 batch because the teaching system has been changed from IGNOU to JNOU

Remarks:

I wanted to choose the hotel industry that's why IHM MUMBAI. This is one of the known government colleges. You have to take the entrance exam NCHMCT JEE for any of the government ihm colleges and score a good rank.
