IHMCTAN is a government run hospitality management college that provides good opportunities by providing industrial training and placements in India's top hotels. Also the faculty here are top class with good experience in teaching as well as the industry. Admission process includes a written exam that is held annually by NCHM. It includes logical reasoning, numerical analysis, general knowledge and english questions. Books related to this exam are sold in the market. Cutoff every year varies according to number of students giving the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it aligned with my career goals and interests. The course curriculum is comprehensive, covering key concepts and skills required in the industry.The faculty members teaching this course are highly qualified with.-Ph.D. degrees from reputable universities -Industry experience and expertise in their respective fields -Strong research backgrounds The teaching methods used in this course are engaging and effective. -Interactive lectures with real-world examples -Group discussions and debates to foster critical thinking -Regular feedback and guidance from faculty Term exams are conducted in a timely manner. -Challenging but fair with a mix of theoretical and practical questions -Well organized with clear instructions -Difficulty level:moderate to challenging (7/10) Overall, I found this course to be well-structured, informative, and engaging. The faculty were knowledgeable and supportive, and the teaching methods were effective in promoting learning.
Internships Opportunities :
All luxury hotel brands in Mumbai offer internship to IHM Mumbai students with an average stipend of 5000 per month. These internships give and overall and in depth operational level experience to students.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility for placement includes attendance according to JNU and passing in all subjects. Campus Life :
Food fests- Cornucopia - held around January February Kulture Kurry- held around March Christmas Glow Gala- held in December Also other Indian festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm. All kinds of hospitality and corporate related books are available for issue in the library. Journals for practical classes are also provided. Classrooms are well equipped with whiteboards, projectors, speakers and internet connection. Sports like football, cricket, badminton, basketball are played, also matches are held for the above. Competitions for baking, cooking, front office, housekeeping and many more are also held. Clubs include literary club, social media club, sports club, cooking club, and some more.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality in the mess is good and meals are provided for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Menu is different for every meal. Hostel fees is 65000 per semester which is affordable and cheap according to the city. Hostel applications are accepted on first come first serve basis for new students while it is based on attendance for senior students.

It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.
