Kerala University School of Distance Education was started in 1976. This university does not conduct any entrance exams for its admissions and believes in only merit-based admissions. Kerala University School of Distance Education has 26 programs running in distance education under Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees. 

  • Candidates must pass 10+2 examinations from a recognised board to get admission in any undergraduate program. 
  • Candidates who want to apply for the BSC program in Computer Science and Mathematics must pass the 10+2 examination from a recognised board. Mathematics must be one of the elective subjects. 
  • Candidates having a 3-year diploma in any engineering subjects are eligible for the BSC course. The diploma has to be approved by the Director of Technical Education.
  • For admission in a Postgraduate degree, the candidates must possess a graduation degree in the required field for their master's with a minimum of 45%. 
  • Candidates who aspire to roll themselves in the MSc program must have a degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a B.Sc (Vocational Studies). Mathematics is a compulsory subject during graduation.
