Certificate Courses offered by NIEPMD don’t require any entrance tests. Candidates are selected on the merit list prepared on their website.

NIEPMD, Chennai: Diploma and Certificate Courses Admission 2024 

C.C.C.G (A-Level) has two specializations- Primary Training and Advance Training. Primary Training is for 3 months whereas Advanced Training is for 6 months.

Eligibility Criteria

Primary Training:

• Candidates with 8th pass or equivalent.
• Minimum age between 18-35 years
• Preference is given to SC/ST Candidates and parents of children with disabilities.

Advance Training:

• Candidates with a 10th Pass or who have passed their 8th with Primary caregiver training completed successfully.
• Minimum age between 18-35 years
• Preference is given to SC/ST Candidates and parents of children with disabilities.

Selection Criteria

Candidates who are interested to undergo Primary or Advanced Training are selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.

NIEPMD, Chennai: UG Courses Admission 2024 

Admission to UG Courses offered by NIEPMD requires a Common Entrance Test. Candidates must have cleared their 10+2 in order to be eligible for any of the following Bachelor’s programs.

NIEPMD, Chennai: B.P.T and B.O.T Admission 2024 

UG Courses- B.P.T and B.O.T is a 4-year degree course and 6 months internship which is supposed to be done after the completion of the course.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have cleared their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or) Zoology, and Botany are eligible to apply for any specialization of the UG Courses.

Selection Criteria

• Candidates are selected through Common Entrance Test for All India Quota.
• After qualifying, there is a counseling process conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education Tamil Nadu for State Quota as approved by the Nodal Ministry.

NIEPMD, Chennai: B.P.O Admission 2024 

Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthotics is a 4-year degree course with 6 months of internship.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have cleared 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Science or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English.
• Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per the norms by Central Government.

Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected through the National Eligibility Test- Prosthetics and Orthotics (NET- P&O) for All India, followed by counseling conducted by NBER – NIEPMD, Chennai Approved by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of PwDs (Divyangjan).

NIEPMD, Chennai: B.ASLP Admission 2024 

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (B. ASLP) is a 4-year degree course wherein there are 6 semesters of coursework and 2 semesters of internship. The students are required to finish the coursework within 6 years from the date of admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent having subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Electronics/Computer Science/Statistics/Psychology

Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected through the marks obtained in NEET.

NIEPMD, Chennai: B.Ed Special Education Admission 2024 

B.Ed Special Education with specializations- Multiple Disabilities, Deaf-Blind, Autism Spectrum Disorder is a two-year degree course.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their 10+2 and their graduation from a recognized university or board are eligible for the course.

Or

Candidates having PG Degrees in Economics, Home Science, Commerce, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Logic, and Indian Culture with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible.

Selection Criteria

Selection is made according to Tamil Nadu University after qualifying for the exam followed by an interview. However, the marks allotted for admission are as follows:

NIEPMD, Chennai: PG Courses Admission 2024 

PG Courses offered by NIEPMD require the candidates to have completed their Bachelors in the required specialization. A merit list is prepared and the candidates are required to regularly check the official website for the same.

NIEPMD, Chennai: M.Ed- Special Education Admission Criteria 2024 

M.Ed- Special Education (All Specialisations) is a two-year degree course having only 20 seats.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are interested to pursue M.Ed- Special Education should fulfill any of the following criteria:

• Candidates who have completed their B.Ed in Special Education with a minimum of 50% marks
• Candidates should have a valid RCI
• Candidates should have passed B.Ed General Course with Diploma in Special Education in a respective disability area with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates who have done B.Ed in a particular specialization may be allowed for M.Ed Cross Disability/Multicategory but the reverse is not allowed.
• Candidates with B.A/B.Ed/B.Com B.Ed Special Education (4 years integrated)

Selection Criteria 

Candidates who want to pursue M.Ed- Special Education in any specialization are selected on a merit basis.

NIEPMD, Chennai: Post Graduate Diploma Admission Criteria 2024 

Post Graduate Diploma Developmental Theory: Physical and Neurological is a 15-month long program where students have to do an internship for 3 months after the completion of the course and the Post Graduate Diploma in Early Intervention is a one-year degree program divided into two semesters.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed any of the following courses from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for admission. However, SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks.
