Medicaps University Admission Dates 2026

Medicaps University is accepting applications for most 2026 admission-cycle programmes on a rolling basis. A fixed 2026 application closing date has not been published. Students should apply early if they want to be considered for merit scholarships.

Medicaps University Courses and Fees

Medicaps University runs UG and PG courses in engineering, management, law, pharmacy, computing and science. B.Tech fees depend on the branch. Core engineering courses cost INR 5.77 Lakhs, while overseas-semester B.Tech options cost up to INR 26.92 Lakhs.

B.Tech overseas-semester options, including CSAI with Data Engineering and Data Science with an overseas semester abroad, cost INR 26.42-26.92 Lakhs for 4 years. BPT (Physiotherapy) has a 4-year fee of INR 10.17 Lakhs. MBA Global costs INR 20.17 Lakhs for 2 years. Hostel fees for both boys and girls range from INR 1.30 Lakhs to INR 1.72 Lakhs per year.

Medicaps University Admission Process

Medicaps University admits students through MU-SAT, national-level entrance exams and programme-specific tests. MU-SAT stands for Medicaps University Scholarship and Aptitude Test. It is used for both admission and first-year scholarship decisions.

Students scoring 95% and above in MU-SAT get a 25% tuition fee reduction in Year 1. The MU-SAT rank 1 student gets a 100% tuition fee waiver for Year 1. For law admissions, MLAT, or Medicaps Law Admission Test, is a 120-minute online MCQ-based test.

B.Tech

For B.Tech, students must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. General category students need at least 45% aggregate in PCM, while SC, ST and OBC students need 40%. Selection is through JEE Main or MU-SAT. Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry if they have completed a 3-year diploma with 50%+. The 12 B.Tech specialisations include CSE, CSE (AI), Data Science, IT, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Power Electronics, Robotics and Automation, Deep Learning, and overseas-semester variants.

MBA

Applicants for MBA must hold a recognised 3-year undergraduate degree. Medicaps University accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT and MU-SAT scores. After the entrance score is considered, counselling is held for selection. The non-refundable application fee is INR 1,600. Standard MBA specialisations cost INR 3.97 Lakhs for 2 years, while MBA Business Analytics costs INR 6.17 Lakhs.

Law (BA LLB / BBA LLB)

BA LLB and BBA LLB are 5-year integrated law courses. Students need 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board. Admission is based on MLAT, an online 120-minute MCQ exam. The 3-year LLB Hons. course also uses the MLAT-based selection route. Integrated law fees are INR 6.80 Lakhs for 5 years, while LLB Hons. costs INR 4.67 Lakhs.

B.Pharmacy and Science Programmes

B.Pharmacy is a 4-year course that requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, along with at least 65%. For B.Sc in Biotechnology and Forensic Science, students need 10+2 with PCB or PCM and a minimum of 50%. Admission is through MU-SAT or, for pharmacy-specific programmes, state counselling through DTE MP.

Medicaps University Placements

In 2024-25, Medicaps University recorded placements for 1,230+ students, with 195 companies visiting or hiring from the campus. The highest package was INR 52 LPA, offered by Microsoft to a B.Tech CSE (AI) student. The average package was INR 6.5 LPA, and the minimum package was INR 3.5 LPA. From 2022 to 2024, the university received more than 3,000 cumulative offers.

B.Tech CSE and AI-related branches reported the strongest outcomes. The highest package for B.Tech CSE (core) was INR 24 LPA from Cisco. B.Tech IT reached INR 44 LPA from Amazon, while B.Tech CSE (AI) reached INR 52 LPA from Microsoft. MBA placements reported a 90% rate, a highest package of INR 18 LPA, and an average package above INR 7 LPA across finance, BFSI, consulting and FMCG sectors.

Medicaps University Rankings

Medicaps University is not ranked in NIRF at present. Outside NIRF, it has been placed in the top 200 private engineering colleges and the top 100 BBA programmes in national rankings.

India Today ranked the BBA programme at 97 out of 211 in 2024, making it one of the university's strongest national ranking entries. In engineering, Times of India and India Today placed Medicaps University in the 100-200 band among private engineering colleges. Since the university has not appeared in NIRF, it has limited visibility in government-sourced rankings.

Medicaps University Scholarships

Medicaps University offers scholarships for board toppers, district toppers, MU-SAT performers, GATE-qualified M.Tech students, alumni family members and financially underprivileged students.

Medicaps University Campus and Infrastructure

Medicaps University campus is in Rau, near Indore in Madhya Pradesh. It has separate academic schools for engineering, also called the Tech School, management, law, pharmacy and sciences. Students have access to engineering laboratories, a central library, a placement cell, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and hostel blocks for boys and girls.

Hostel charges for boys and girls range from INR 1.30 Lakhs to INR 1.72 Lakhs per year, based on the room type. The Rau location connects students with Indore's IT and industrial network, including IT parks and the Pithampur industrial corridor. This location supports the placement network for B.Tech and MBA students.

Medicaps University vs IPS Academy Indore vs Sage University Indore

Students looking at private universities in Indore often compare Medicaps University with IPS Academy Indore and Sage University Indore. All three offer engineering and management programmes in the Indore region, but they differ in fees, published placement data and course range.

Medicaps University has stronger published placement data for B.Tech CSE and AI, with recruiters such as Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Cisco. Its BBA programme was ranked in the national top 100 by India Today in 2024. For engineering placements in Indore, Medicaps has the clearest available placement record among the three. IPS Academy and Sage University may be options in lower fee bands, but less placement information is publicly available for them.
