AUSDE Undergraduate Admissions

The undergraduate courses include B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc., each lasting 3 years. Selection depends on marks in the qualifying examination. The full-time undergraduate admission requirement is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks. Course-specific subject and category requirements are explained below.

B.A.: Subject Choices, Eligibility and Admission

Students applying for B.A. can choose from several subject combinations. These include History, Economics and Politics; History, Public Administration and Politics; History, Politics and Sociology; and Public Administration, Politics and Sociology.

A recognised board's 10+2 qualification or an equivalent examination is required. General category applicants need 45%, while applicants from SC, ST and OBC categories need 40%. The course admits students through qualifying-examination merit without an entrance test.

B.Sc.: Combinations and Subject Requirements

B.Sc. applicants can choose Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (MPC); Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science (MPCS); Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (MStatCS); or Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (CBZ).

For MPC, MPCS and MStatCS, students must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2.
The CBZ combination requires Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Polytechnic diploma holders must provide their first-year marks to establish that they studied Mathematics.
Students from vocational streams must complete a Mathematics Bridge Course.

Postgraduate admission depends on the degree, subjects and marks required for the chosen course. Several programmes use graduation merit, while management and computer application courses also have entrance-based selection routes.

M.A.: Specialisations and Selection

The M.A. choices cover English, Hindi, Telugu, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Philosophy and Mathematics. Applicants need a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. For Mathematics, the student must have studied that subject during a B.A. or B.Sc.

General category students need an aggregate score of at least 50%. The minimum for SC, ST and OBC students is 45%. Graduation marks determine merit, and no entrance test is required.

Graduation marks must reach 50% for General category applicants or 45% for SC, ST and OBC applicants. Merit-based admission includes a check of the applicant's Mathematics background. Some applicants may also need to take the AU SDE entrance examination.

The Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) and Master of Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) each take 2 years. Applicants need a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The usual minimum aggregate is 50% for General category students and 45% for other reserved categories.

Full-Time M.A., MJMC, M.Com. and M.Sc. Requirements

LLM Eligibility and Admission

The university's full-time LLM is a 2-year postgraduate course. Admission depends on performance in the qualifying examination.

Applicants must hold a regular LLB degree lasting 3 years or 5 years from a recognised university. Their education must follow the 10+2+3+3 or 10+2+5 pattern, with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade point.

Qualifications Required for Research Admission

A relevant master's degree with at least 55% marks is required. The minimum is 50% for SC, ST, OBC and Specially Abled applicants, and for applicants under the Professional category.
Foreign applicants whose master's qualification is not from an Indian university need a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA, meaning cumulative grade point average.
A master's degree completed partly through papers and partly through research is accepted when awarded by a recognised university that is a member of AIU, New Delhi, or is approved by UGC.

Entrance Exemptions and Final Selection

Applicants who have qualified UGC, CSIR, DST, a National or State Level Fellowship, GATE, GPAT, SLET, NET or M.Phil. are exempt from the PhD entrance examination. They can proceed directly to the Personal Interview.
The final merit list combines performance in the entrance examination, Personal Interview (PI) and postgraduate examination.

Applications are invited for the doctoral programme from students who meet the relevant postgraduate eligibility conditions.

AUSDE Admission FAQs

Ques. Which admission batches can students join during a year?

Ans: AUSDE has 2 admission cycles each year. The Academic Year batch runs from July to June, with notifications issued in June or July. The Calendar Year batch runs from January to December, and its notifications appear in December or January.

Ques. Can an applicant complete AUSDE admission without travelling to campus?

Ans: Yes. AUSDE uses an automated system from entry to exit, so physical attendance is not needed for admission. Students can submit their applications online from anywhere in India or abroad.

Ques. What messages does AUSDE send after an application is submitted?

Ans: A confirmation message follows submission on the AUSDE website. Once the documents have been verified, the university sends the Registration Number, or ID, by SMS to the registered mobile number. Learner Portal login details are sent along with it.

Ques. Does applying for another course require a new AUSDE registration?

Ans: Students may use the same registration login to apply for several courses at the same time. Each course still needs its own application and a separate fee payment.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is nice and the campus is quite big
Faculty is very coperable and notifications are provided on the website on time

What I didn’t like

There is no placement for passed out students.
There is no college life for students who opt for distance education

Remarks:

I chose this college because it was in my previous homecity and is super affordable, As i come from defense background. There is no additional exam or cut-off required for admission in this college whatsoever.
