SRGC Muzaffarnagar Courses and Fees

More than 40 programmes across 11 streams are available at SRGC. Its subject areas include engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, law, management, education, fine arts, journalism and science. The following table lists course length, entry requirements and fees.

Two-year M.Sc programmes in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Microbiology and Home Science have a total fee of INR 1,05,200. SRGC also offers BJMC and MJMC in journalism, B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed in physical education, and vocational courses. Short certificate programmes cover graphic design, fashion design, photography, interior design and cyber security.

SRGC Muzaffarnagar Admission Process

SRGC uses two admission routes. B.Tech and B.Arch seats are allotted through exam-based UPTAC counselling, while most other courses use direct merit. Applicants should check the entry conditions for their chosen programme before applying.

Steps to Apply

1. Select a course and confirm its academic eligibility requirements.
2. For B.Tech or B.Arch, obtain the required entrance exam score and take part in UPTAC counselling.
3. For a direct-admission course, apply at the SRGC campus or through srcmzn.com.
4. Submit the academic and entrance exam documents required for the selected programme.
5. Complete seat confirmation and pay the applicable admission fee after selection or allotment.

B.Tech Admission through UPTAC

AKTU requires SRGC to fill B.Tech seats through UPTAC counselling, and the college does not provide a management quota for these programmes. Applicants need at least 45% aggregate in Class 12 with PCM. UPTAC Rounds 1 to 4 use JEE Main rank, while Special Rounds 6 and 7 also accept CUET UG or 10+2 merit. The seat confirmation charge is INR 20,000 for General/OBC applicants and INR 12,000 for SC/ST/EWS/PwBD applicants.

B.Tech branches include Civil Engineering, CSE, CSE (AI and ML), ECE, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Diploma holders with at least 45% marks may enter the three-year lateral entry programme.

B.Arch Admission through UPTAC

Applicants to B.Arch must have Mathematics in Class 12, at least 50% marks, and a valid NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 score. UPTAC handles the seat allotment process.

B.Sc Agriculture Admission

Maa Shakumbhari University affiliates the B.Sc Agriculture programme. Selection is based directly on merit. Students must complete Class 12 with PCB or Agriculture subjects and secure at least 50%, or 45% if they belong to a reserved category.

Admission to Other UG and PG Courses

Class 12 merit is used for B.Pharm, BCA, BBA, B.Com, BJMC, B.Ed, BFA, B.P.Ed and science courses. Law applicants may use a CLAT score or seek selection through direct merit. MBA, MCA, M.Ed, M.Sc and other postgraduate programmes consider graduation merit. Applications can be made at the campus or through the official website.

SRGC Muzaffarnagar Placements

The SRGC Placement Cell arranges campus recruitment drives each year. Recruiters mainly represent IT and software, banking, financial services and insurance, manufacturing, education and government services. Campus IT hiring focuses chiefly on students from B.Tech CSE, B.Tech ECE and BCA. Agriculture and pharmacy graduates commonly enter agri-input businesses, pharmaceutical companies or government extension services.

B.Tech graduates have obtained jobs in IT services, manufacturing and core engineering organisations. MBA and BCA alumni have moved into banking, insurance and technology support positions. After completing their courses, law and B.Ed graduates generally prepare for government service examinations or join private legal practice and teaching.

SRGC Muzaffarnagar Campus and Infrastructure

SRGC has a multi-faculty campus in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, an important commercial and agricultural centre in western UP. Engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, law, management, education, fine arts and science schools operate at the same location. The city lies on the Delhi-Haridwar highway and has rail and road links to Delhi and Dehradun.

Each faculty has dedicated departmental buildings. Other facilities include engineering and science laboratories, a digitally supported library, a skill development centre and an NSS unit. The Faculty of Agriculture provides crop science laboratories and practical training farms for students of the Maa Shakumbhari University-affiliated B.Sc Agriculture course.

Separate boys’ and girls’ hostels are available within the campus. Their annual charges go up to INR 55,000, and they accommodate students coming from western UP and Uttarakhand. Students also have access to sports and recreation facilities.

SRGC Muzaffarnagar Scholarships

Eligible SRGC students may use scholarship programmes run by the Uttar Pradesh and central governments. The UP post-matric scheme supports SC, ST and OBC students with tuition costs and living expenses, subject to its income conditions.

SRGC vs Invertis University vs Quantum University

Students considering private multi-faculty institutions in western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand may compare SRGC with Invertis University in Bareilly and Quantum University in Roorkee. Each institution serves students from western UP and the Uttarakhand region and offers engineering, management, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

SRGC has a higher NAAC grade of A++, while Invertis University and Quantum University both hold Grade A. SRGC B.Tech degrees carry AKTU affiliation, which provides the AKTU name recognised by employers in Uttar Pradesh. Invertis and Quantum grant their own degrees and may have greater freedom in designing their curricula. At INR 3,14,000 for the complete B.Tech course, SRGC has one of the lower fees among NAAC A++ colleges in western UP.
