The Board has revised the schedule of BCECE counselling 2024 due to unavoidable circumstances. Thus, new dates are announced for the special counselling schedule for admissions to vacant B.Tech seats in government engineering colleges under BCECE 2024.

What Is BCECE Counseling Procedure?
Candidates will need to register themselves first for the counselling process. There will be a separate cutoff for every round of counselling. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will conduct counselling for providing admission to various government, private, agriculture and pharmacy colleges. The seats will be offered based on the merit in the exam.
BCECE Counselling Procedure
- Online Registration - Registration is mandatory to participate in the counselling process. You can register by visiting the website and entering all the required details and documents.
- Choice filling - After successful registration, the candidates need to do choice filling of colleges where they want to get admission.
- Provisional seat allotment – BCECEB will publish a provisional seat allotment list that candidates can log in and check in their accounts. If candidates want to secure the seat then they can freeze it, if not then they can pass it by choosing the float option. In case candidates freeze the seat, they will be issued a provisional seat allotment letter mentioning the counselling venue, schedule and other details for the further seat confirmation process. Candidates need to download the allotment letter and get printouts. Counselling authorities will allocate seats based on the rank, score and the seats available for the particular institutes.
- Seat confirmation – After document verification is done as per the schedule, candidates have to log in again for the final seat allotment. They need to pay the admission fee to confirm the allotted college and seat.
- Reporting - Candidates must report to their allotted institutes with the allotment letter and all the required documents on the specified dates. Here, the document verification is done and the admission letters are provided to the candidates.

BCECE Counselling Fee

BCECE 2024 Seat Allotment
- The conducting authority/ State Govt. reserves the right to add new institutions and seats at any time for which information will be provided at the time of counselling.
- 50% Seats of in agriculture courses will be filled through the PCM & PCB merit list & remaining 50% of the seats will be filled through CBA, PCA, MBA & MCA streams.
- The total Seats in each participating institution are inclusive of Disable Quota Seats.
- SMQ seats are included in the total seats in each institution and allotment under this quota will be made after approval from the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar.
- A few seats may also be allocated in other Engineering Institutions outside Bihar by MHRD. Detailed information in this respect will be made available at the time of counselling/ Interview.
- 5% of the total seats may be made available for economically backward students whose Parents/guardian's income is less than Rs. 4.5 Lacs per annum.
- Admission to the B.Pharma course of MIT Muzaffarpur will be taken after recognition of this course by the AICTE / Pharmacy Council of India.
BCECE 2024 Seat Matrix
The Seat Matrix shows the number of available seats for each category. Officials will release the Seat Matrix Branch Wise for the 2024 session. However, candidates can refer to the previous year's seat matrix to estimate the number of seats and participating institutes.

Important BCECE Counselling 2024 Guidelines
- According to the merit list, candidates will be allowed to select from a variety of programs and colleges.
- Candidates will be contacted based on where they place on the Merit List. They will be informed in advance of the Counseling final schedule either by mail or online at the official website.
- Any error in the printing and publication of the result or the Merit List disqualifies candidates from selection during seat allotment.
- During Counselling, candidates who have been assigned seats will be informed of the registration process costs with their assigned seat.
- Candidates must pay their expenses and show up on time for the specified dates.
- Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements can be eliminated from consideration.
- The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has no obligation to inform applicants of the cancellation of their application.
