What Is GAHET?

GAHET stands for Global Allied Healthcare Entrance Test. It was earlier called AIPMCET, or All India Paramedical Common Entrance Test. The examination covers routes into allied-health programmes such as laboratory science, physiotherapy, imaging, optometry and operation-theatre technology.

There are separate Diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate routes. Choose the level that matches your qualification; a school-level applicant and a graduate applying for a specialist master's course do not use the same eligibility or syllabus. The eventual admission also depends on the chosen college and course.

GAHET 2027 Exam Dates

The examination authority labels this the 2027 cycle. Do not change the October dates to 2027 when adding them to your calendar. The date table applies to the currently announced examination; it is not a forecast based on a previous year.

Registered candidates can download the admit card 48 hours before the scheduled exam. The examination guidelines and portal link are sent by email 24 hours before the test. Check the examination time on your admit card and join at least 15 minutes early.

Can Mathematics Students Apply for UG Courses?

The general UG eligibility includes Mathematics alongside Biology, Botany and Zoology alternatives. It also requires Physics, Chemistry and English. This does not mean every listed healthcare degree accepts every subject combination. A Mathematics student should check the specific programme requirement before selecting a clinical or life-science course.

Can Final-Year Students Apply?

The general rules allow students due to appear in Class X for the Diploma route, Class XII for UG, and the undergraduate examination in 2027 for PG. Permission to apply is not permission to skip the qualifying examination. Admission remains subject to completing the required qualification and document verification.

For PG, the undergraduate degree must be in the field of specialisation. A degree with 50% does not automatically qualify a student for every master's programme. For example, a laboratory-technology graduate should establish the accepted qualifying degree before applying for a different clinical specialisation.

GAHET Registration and Application Fee

Applications are accepted online only. Register through the GAHET application portal, choose Diploma, UG or PG and enter the requested personal and course details. The username and password are sent to the registered email address or phone number.

The INR 2,000 application fee is non-refundable. After payment, save the transaction confirmation as well as the application summary. A bank debit without a completed application status needs attention before the deadline.

GAHET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Each correct answer earns 1 mark. A wrong answer does not reduce the score. For example, 72 correct answers give 72 out of 100, regardless of how many of the remaining answers are wrong. This is a raw score, not a percentile or a guarantee of admission.

The paper allows an average of 36 seconds per question. Use this as a full-paper practice benchmark, not as a compulsory timer for each item. Straight recall questions may take less time than a calculation or a reasoning problem.

The 50% figure in the eligibility rules refers to marks in the qualifying school or university examination. It is not a published GAHET passing score. The current information does not establish one common admission cutoff for every programme and institution.

GAHET Syllabus: Diploma, UG and PG

Prepare from the syllabus for your selected level. Diploma and UG syllabi both list Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and General and Psychometric Analysis, but their topic depth differs. The examples below show the main study areas; they are not a chapter-wise weightage prediction.

Diploma Syllabus

UG Syllabus

The published Diploma and UG subject lists include both Mathematics and Biology. They do not state a fixed 25-question allocation to four subjects or an automatic PCB/PCM paper choice. Use the paper instructions for your application rather than assuming such a split.

PG Common Syllabus and Question Distribution

The common PG syllabus assigns 70 questions to Core Biomedical Sciences, 25 to Applied Sciences and Research, and 5 to General Aptitude and Trends. The subject distribution is:

Within these areas, revise body systems, metabolism, enzymes, infection and immunity, pathology and drug principles. Applied topics include laboratory values, ECG and imaging basics, diagnostic-test accuracy, study designs, sampling, research ethics and patient rights. English and reasoning form a small but defined part of the paper.

MPT Preparation

The MPT syllabus adds a course-specific preparation list: Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Pathology, Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Musculoskeletal Disorders and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, along with General Knowledge and Psychometric Analysis. Revise movement and joint mechanics, therapeutic exercises, electrical modalities and rehabilitation concepts from your qualifying course.

Use the common PG structure for the overall question distribution and the MPT list for course-focused revision. The course list does not establish an additional examination or a second set of 100 marks.

How to Prepare for GAHET

Practise a 100-question paper in 60 minutes. Keep a record of three types of errors: a concept you did not know, a calculation mistake and a question you misread. Revise the underlying topic for the first, repeat the calculation for the second and identify the missed word or condition for the third.

For Diploma and UG, work through the listed school-level topics rather than borrowing a different entrance exam's chapter weightage. For PG, give the 70-question biomedical section a substantial share of practice, but retain the 25 research/applied questions and 5 aptitude questions in each full-paper rehearsal.

Check the online profile's Training section before the test. Practise logging in and reading the examination instructions on the device you plan to use. A familiar device setup is especially useful for an exam that monitors camera, sound, browser activity and the screen.

GAHET Admit Card and Exam-Day Instructions

Candidates with a complete registration can download the admit card from the application login portal 48 hours before the scheduled examination. Check these details: Name, Registration ID, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Category, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination time and instructions.

Joining the Online Examination

The general instructions allow a mobile, laptop or desktop, while the login instructions specifically recommend a laptop or desktop. Use the device supported by the examination portal and complete its technical checks before the start time. Log in with the registered mobile number and join at least 15 minutes early.

The exam is remotely monitored through the camera, sound and browser activity, and the screen is recorded throughout. Keep the camera and audio available for the required checks. Read the Training section in your profile and the instructions sent with the examination link before starting.

GAHET Result, Scorecard and Counselling

The GAHET 2027 result is scheduled for 19 October 2026. Use the application username and password to view the result and download the scorecard through the examination portal. A hard copy will not be sent by post or email.

Admission instructions are to be sent by email within three days of the result declaration. The result is followed by course and institution selection, the admission application and verification of documents. A scorecard does not itself confirm enrolment.

The seat-booking amount and admission deadline depend on the institution. Keep the fee receipt and admission confirmation after payment. Do not treat the examination application fee as a tuition payment or a confirmed college seat.

GAHET Courses and Participating Institutions

GAHET lists programmes in several allied-health fields. The qualification title matters: a certificate, diploma, vocational degree and clinical bachelor degree are not interchangeable, even when they refer to a similar work area.

For laboratory study, compare the qualification and course content of DMLT and BMLT before choosing a route. The GAHET catalogue also lists Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science. Use the exact programme name and duration offered by the institution; similar laboratory-course names should not be treated as identical awards.

The listed Diploma programmes generally last two years, while the Certified Dialysis Technician and Certified OT Technician options are listed as one year. The listed PG courses are two years. UG durations and internships vary by programme, so describing all undergraduate courses as a three-year B.Sc would be inaccurate.

Examples on the official partner list include Invertis University, Vivekananda Global University, Rayat Bahra University, Renaissance University, Teerthankar Mahaveer University and Dolphin PG College. Being on the partner list does not mean an institution offers every GAHET course.

Use the colleges accepting GAHET listing to compare available institutions, then match the particular programme, campus, eligibility and fee schedule with the admission offer. No single published GAHET fee or cutoff applies across the entire partner list.
