HPU MAT (Himachal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by HPUBS (Himachal Pradesh University Business School). HPU (Himachal Pradesh University) is an NAAC-accredited ‘A’ Grade University. This exam provides a gateway to aspiring management students seeking admission to the MBA program that HPUBS offers.
HPU MAT Application form was available from April 2024 to May 2024 on the official website. The registrations have been closed now.
The questions in HPU MAT exam will be from four main management topics, English, Arithmetic, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Candidates must prepare for English Grammar, Reading and Comprehension, Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, and Business Environment to ace the examination.

HPU MAT Admit Card 2024
Candidates who have completed the application process by paying the application fee will be eligible to download the HPU MAT 2024 admit card. Follow the steps given below to download the HPU MAT admit card.
- Visit the official website and log in with your registered credentials.
- Check the link for downloading the admit card on the ‘notice board’
- Click on the admit card link OR login into the student login window in the top right corner of the page
- Enter your registration number and date of birth to download the HPU MAT 2024 admit card.

HPU MAT Merit List 2024
After the declaration of HPU MAT results, a merit list will be prepared for the GD/PI round. Candidates for Non-subsidized seats have to compete among themselves, as is the case with the candidates in subsidized seats. Separate merit lists will be prepared for subsidized categories and non-subsidized categories. The schedule of the GD/PI round will be announced on the official website. Selected candidates will be required to check the date and venue of their GD/PI on the website and be present in person for the same. In the absence of a candidate, his/her seat will be awarded to the next candidate.

HPU MAT Cut-Off 2024
There is a total of 120 seats offered by HPU for the MBA Programme under HPU MAT exam. 60 Seats out of 120 are Subsidised Category and the remaining 60 Seats are the Non-subsidised Category.
The cutoff, the process of Group Discussion and Personal Interviews is also divided as per the above-mentioned category. Each category is further divided into various subcategories according to the reservation scheme.

HPU MAT Counseling 2024
For HPU MAT counselling, qualified candidates whose name is mentioned in the merit list must report for counselling to HPU. Counselling is the final round for admission so you must report at date and time prescribed by the university.. After Counselling, the seat will have to be reserved by depositing the admission fee and other charges within the fixed time.

- One seat (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the serving/ retired defence service personnel if they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for admission.
- Two seats (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the Single Girl Child of Himachali Domicile. Applicants under this category must attach a certificate from the Executive Magistrate.
- Two seats (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the J&K Domicile, Kashmiri Pandit/ Kashmiri Hindu families (Non-migrants) living in Kashmir valley.
- Three seats (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the Ward of HP University employees in the Non-Subsidised Category.
