HPU MAT 2024 Counselling Process

HPU MAT counselling procedure is given below.

• Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be called for HPU MAT 2024 counselling in July 2024 for both subsidized and non-subsidized seats. 
• The counselling procedure will be conducted by the HBUBS.
• At the time of counselling, the candidates have to be present physically.  In the absence of any candidate, his/her seat will be awarded to the next candidate. 
• No extra date will be provided for counselling.

Weightage of HPU MAT 2024 Selection Round

The weightage of HPU MAT selection round is given in the table below.

Note that, the conducting body of HPU MAT can change the weightage at any stage of the selection process.

HPU MAT Cut-Off 

HPU MAT cutoff, the process of Group Discussion and Personal Interviews is divided into the subsidised & non-subsidised categories. Each category is further divided into various subcategories according to the reservation scheme.

HPU MAT Merit List 2024

After the declaration of HPU MAT result, a merit list will be prepared for the GD/PI round. Candidates for Non-subsidized seats have to compete among themselves, as is the case with the candidates in subsidized seats. Separate merit lists will be prepared for subsidized categories and non-subsidized categories. 

The schedule of the GD/PI round will be announced on the official website. Shortlisted candidates must deposit the HPU MAT counselling fee on or before the last date.

HPU MAT 2024 Reservation Criteria

Given below is the reservation policy for HPU MAT 2024.

25% open for all and 75% seats for the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from HP University/HP Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Palampur /Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry/HP Technical University and the Central University of Himachal Pradesh or the candidates who are Himachal Pradesh domicile irrespective of passing qualifying examination from any other University established by Law in India which is equivalent to the qualifying examination of Himachal Pradesh University. 

The seats will be further reserved as:

• 5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding sportsmen/ women.
• 5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding cultural activists.
• 5% of the seats shall be reserved for persons with Disabilities
• Provided further that one seat (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the serving/ retired defence service personnel if they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for admission.
• Provided further that Two-seat (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the Single Girl Child of Himachali Domicile. Applicants under this category must attach a certificate from the Executive Magistrate.
• Provided further that two seats (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the J&K Domicile, Kashmiri Pandit/ Kashmiri Hindu families (Non-migrants) living in Kashmir valley.
• Provided further that three seats (Supernumerary) shall be reserved for the Ward of HP University employees in the Non-Subsidised Category.
