What's New In JKCET 2025?
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the JKCET 2025 Answer Key, exam held on April 12, 2025. Candidates who have enlisted for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) for courses in engineering can now download it from the official portal — jkbopee.gov.in.
JKCET 2025 was conducted on 12th April 2025 at different centers of the Union Territory.
What is JKCET?
JKCET is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE). JKCET is an exam for candidates who want to pursue BE/ B.Tech program in the private or government colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. JKCET is a state-level examination and it is considered easy as compared to JEE Main.

JKCET offers admission to engineering courses such as computer engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, communication engineering, and biomedical engineering.
JKCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Only the candidates who are born and brought up and who are currently living in Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply for JKCET 2025.
- A 10+2 degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- The candidates must have secured at least 45% (40% for reserved candidsates) as an aggregate in their qualifying examination.
- The candidates must be 17 years old on or before December 31, 2020.

JKCET 2025 Counseling
The committee makes a list of the selected students and shortlists candidates according to it via online mode. Candidates need to pay a sum of Rs. 500 for counseling. The short-listed candidates can register themselves for the counseling procedure from the 2nd week of July.
- The counseling session is held according to the availability of seats after the previous sessions.
- Candidates are selected for admission based on their rank in the merit or the shortlist.
