Normalisation of Marks in KEAM 2024 

As KEAM 2024 will be conducted over a number of days, the difficulty level of the paper will vary across shifts. For KEAM Engineering Rank List:

• Subjects considered for KEAM engineering rank list include mathematics, physics and chemistry. If you did not study chemistry in class 12, your computer science marks will be considered. In case you have not studied these, your Biotechnology marks will be considered. If you have not studied any three, your biology marks will be considered. 

• You should answer at least one question in KEAM 2024 examination otherwise you will be disqualified from the rank list. 
• If you have a normalised score of less than 10 in KEAM engineering entrance exam, you will not be included in KEAM rank list. Note: this is not applicable to SC/ST candidates. 
• Exam score and qualifying exam score (10+2) are considered in the 50:50 ratio. 

For KEAM Pharmacy Rank List: 

• You should answer at least one question in the physics and chemistry section otherwise you will be disqualified from the rank list. 
• If you have a normalised score of less than 10 in KEAM engineering entrance exam, you will not be included in KEAM rank list. Note: this is not applicable to SC/ST candidates. 
• Exam score and qualifying exam score (10+2) are considered in the 50:50 ratio. 

Tie Breaking Policy in KEAM Rank List 2024

In case of two or more people get the same rank, the following order will be used to resolve ties: 

For KEAM Engineering 2024:

• Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics (before normalisation) will be given a better rank
• Candidate with higher marks in Physics in the paper (before normalisation) will be given a higher rank
• If the tie still persists, candidate with better standardised marks in Mathematics in the final year of qualifying exam will be placed higher
• If the tie still persists, candidate with better standardised marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying exam will be placed higher.
• If the tie is not resolved, candidate with higher number of correct response in mathematics will be given preference
• If the tie is not resolved, candidate with higher number of correct response in physics will be given preference
• In case the tie is still not resolved using the above, age of the candidates will be taken into account. The one who is older will get a higher ranking. 

For KEAM Pharmacy 2024: 

• Candidate with higher marks in chemistry (before normalisation) will be given a better rank
• Candidate with higher marks in physics in the paper (before normalisation) will be given a higher rank
• If the tie is not resolved, candidate with higher number of correct response in chemistry will be given preference
• If the tie is not resolved, candidate with higher number of correct response in physics will be given preference
• In case the tie is still not resolved using the above, age of the candidates will be taken into account. The one who is older will get a higher ranking.
