TANCET admit card 2026 was released by Anna University on 27 April 2026 for the MBA and MCA entrance tests held on 9 May. The hall ticket was issued online through the candidate login using the registered email address and password. The regular exam download stage has ended, but candidates should keep the printed hall ticket because its registration number is used again during counselling and admission.

MBA and MCA candidates used the same TANCET portal, but their exam timings were different. MCA was held from 10 AM to 12 noon, followed by MBA from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. M.E., M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan candidates appeared for CEETA-PG on 10 May, not TANCET.

The hall ticket carried the exact venue and reporting instructions for each candidate. The city selected in the application was a preference; Anna University could allot another city when space was unavailable, and an allotted centre could not be changed.

How to Download TANCET Hall Ticket

During the 2026 download window, registered candidates obtained the hall ticket from the Anna University TANCET portal. Anna University did not send a printed hall ticket by post.

Open the TANCET/CEETA-PG candidate login.
Enter the registered email address and password.
Complete the security code shown on the login screen.
Open the Hall Ticket option and download the PDF.
Check the paper, timing, photograph and centre address before printing it.

A forgotten password had to be reset through the login recovery option linked to the registered email.

The hall ticket combined the candidate record with the allotted examination details. A student had to check both parts, not only the name and photograph.

The registration number deserved special attention. Anna University's brochure asked candidates to enter the registration number printed on the hall ticket in the later admission application.

MBA and MCA Hall Tickets Used Different Sessions

MBA and MCA hall tickets came through the same candidate portal, but a candidate could not use the other paper's timing. The MCA session ended before the MBA reporting cycle began. The paper name and session printed on the hall ticket therefore had to match the course selected in the application.

The common portal also carried CEETA-PG material. CEETA-PG was the separate 2026 test for M.E., M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan, conducted on 10 May. A CEETA-PG hall ticket was not a TANCET MBA/MCA hall ticket.

TANCET 2026 Exam Centres

TANCET 2026 was scheduled in 15 Tamil Nadu cities. The hall ticket, not the city preference entered earlier, fixed the final venue.

Anna University stated that another centre could be allotted when the preferred city had no space. Once allotted, the centre could not be changed for any reason. Candidates therefore had to use the full address printed on the hall ticket for travel planning.

Hall Ticket and Exam-Day Checks

Anna University required candidates to produce the hall ticket at the entrance test. The brochure did not publish a separate list of named photo IDs in its hall-ticket section, so the document instructions printed for the candidate controlled anything else that had to be carried.

Before Leaving for the TANCET Centre

Carry a clear printed hall ticket with the photograph, paper and venue visible.
Carry any identity document specifically named in the hall-ticket instructions.
Use the reporting time printed on the hall ticket, not only the test start time.
Take a black ballpoint pen for the OMR answer sheet.
Copy and shade the question-book serial number carefully on the OMR sheet.

OMR and Examination Hall Rules

TANCET was an offline test. Answers had to be shaded with a black ballpoint pen. Pencil-marked answers were not evaluated. More than one box shaded for the same question was treated as a wrong answer and attracted the one-fourth negative mark.

Shade the selected box fully; light or incomplete shading may not be read by the scanner.
Avoid stray pen or pencil marks because the answer sheet is scanned.
Copy and shade the question-book serial number accurately on the answer sheet.
Follow the reporting, entry and prohibited-item directions printed on the hall ticket.

Students doing final revision could use the Zollege TANCET question-paper collection, which currently lists previous papers through 2024. Those papers are practice material; the 2026 hall ticket remained the source for the actual venue and session.

Lost TANCET Hall Ticket After the Exam

Anna University provides a postal route for a duplicate hall ticket after the entrance test. The 2026 fee was INR 590, made up of INR 500 plus 18% GST.

Why the Hall Ticket Is Needed After TANCET

The hall ticket was not only an exam-centre pass. Anna University's 2026 brochure required it at the entrance test and again during counselling and admission. The registration number printed on it connected the examination record with the later admission form.
