Anna University releases the TANCET exam results within 30 days of the exam date.

TANCET 2025 for admission to MBA, MCA, and M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan courses is scheduled on March 22nd and 23rd, 2025.

  • The TANCET scorecard is valid for one year only. The score is calculated by allocating (+)1 mark for each correct response and (-)1/3 mark for each incorrect response.
  • For top Government Universities like Anna University, PSG College of Technology, CEG, SSN, and LIBA candidates need a score of 55+ for MBA, while for MCA a score of 50-60 is required.
  • 230+ colleges in Tamil Nadu will accept TANCET 2025 scores, with a combined MBA intake of 10,000+ seats in top institutes such as Anna University and PSG Institute of Management.

TANCET 2025 Answer Key

Anna University is expected to release the TANCET 2025 Answer Key in the last week of March 2025. The TANCET 2025 Provisional Answer Key will be released first along with the response sheet, so that the candidates can challenge the answer key in case there is any discrepancy in the score calculation. Once the challenging period is over, the Final Answer Key will be released with the updated score.

Once the Provisional Answer Key is released, the candidates should check the document thoroughly to identify any discrepancies and report the authorities about the same. Then a panel of experts verifies the discrepancies. If it's proven correct then the scorecard as well as the result is revised accordingly.

The candidates have to pay an amount of INR 500 for every question they are challenging in the TANCET 2025 Answer Key. This fee is non refundable even if the challenge is verified as correct.

TANCET 2025 has a score normalization procedure to make it fair across various exam sessions. Since the MBA and MCA exams are given in 1 session, raw scores are used. The M.Tech/M.E./M.Plan/M. Arch exam is given in several sessions, making normalization necessary.

The M.Tech/M.E./M.Plan/M. Arch test is conducted in 2 shifts, hence a normalization technique is used to account for the variation in difficulty.

  • 40 is the base score, and 10 is the scaling factor.
  • Mean (μ) and Standard Deviation (σ) are calculated for each session separately.

TANCET 2025 -Good Score

The scores obtained by the candidates in TANCET 2025 is directly related to the percentile they achieve to secure an admission in the institute and courses of their choice.

High Scoring: Candidates scoring in the 75 - 100 score range with 99+ percentile are included in the top tier. These candidates can aim for institutes such as Anna University and PSG Tech.

Average Scoring: Candidates scoring in the range of 50 - 64 and obtaining a 97 - 98 percentile. They can aim for colleges such as SSN College of Engineering and University of Madras.

What After TANCET 2025 Results?

Candidates who will clear the entrance exam will appear for counselling based on their scores and ranks. TANCET counselling registration usually starts in Mid-July. The counselling is conducted separately for each course. To appear for counselling, candidates need to first register themselves. TANCET rank list will be published after the registration process.
