TANCET 2025 Exam Pattern

The TANCET 2025 paper has 100 questions with a duration of two hours for MBA/ MCA programs. The questions are in MCQ form with each question carrying one mark for a correct response and one-third of marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

Section 1- Quantitative Aptitude
Topics include Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Logarithm, Compound Interest, Mensuration, LCM and HCF Linear Equations, Percentages, Simple Interest, Speed, Time and Distance, Quadratic Equations, Surds and Indices, Averages, Functions and Graphs, Progression, Mixtures, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Discount, Allegations, Inequalities, Ratio and Proportion, Trigonometry, Time and Work, Number Systems, Profit and Loss.
Section 2- Reading or Vocabulary

The TANCET syllabus for ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan is divided into three parts, which are Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering Science, and Specialisation subjects. The Table below classifies each section and their sub-topics:

Determinants and Matrices: Solving system of equations – Rank of the Matrix – Eigenvalues and eigenvectors – Reduction of quadratic form to canonical form.
