The Tata Institute of Social Science has released the TISSNET application form 2023. Candidates can apply for the exam in online and offline mode. The last date for TISSNET Registration 2023 is January 28. Candidates can apply for maximum of three programs at any two campuses of TISS by visiting the official website of the Institute.

How to apply for TISSNET 2023 online?

Follow the below-mentioned steps for TISSNET Registration 2023:

  1. Visit the official website of the Tata School of Social Sciences here https://appln.tiss.edu/register/
  2. Add all the necessary details and click on the ‘Register’ button.
  3. The candidate will receive login credentials on the registered email ID.
  4. Log in to the TISS website using the received credentials.
  5. Fill out the application form with all the personal, academic, income, and other mandatory information.
  6. Upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  7. Pay the application fees through available payment methods.
  8. Preview the TISSNET application form and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  9. Take a printout of the form for future reference.

How to apply for TISSNET 2023 offline?

Candidates from remote areas where internet facility is not available can send a request for the TISSNET application form with the application fee to the institute through speed post. The TISS will send the application form with the prospectus to the candidates within a week of receiving the request. Candidates can fill out the offline application form in the following way:

  1. Fill out the TISSNET application form 2023 with all the required details.
  2. Select the preferred course and exam center.
  3. Paste a passport-size photograph and sign on the given signature space.
  4. Take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.
  5. Send the application form to the official address of TISS, Mumbai with photocopies of all required documents such as mark sheets, caste certificate, income certificate, etc. through speed post.

Candidates filling out the application form online have to upload scanned documents in the application form. For the offline application process, candidates are required to post all the required documents attested by a School Headmaster or a Principle of College, or a Gazetted officer. Notes:

  • Payments made by other types of payment mode (demand draft, pay order, etc) other than the above-mentioned modes is not acceptable and the application will be rejected.
  • Candidates have two options while filling online application form: ‘Cash’ and ‘payment Gateway’. If the candidate chooses ‘Cash’, he/she needs to download the payment challan from the ‘Download Challan’ tab.
  • The payment challan has 3 copies. Deposit the prescribed fee in cash in any branch of SBI. The bank will return two copies for the student and TISS college with the bank’s seal, signature, and journal number. Candidates have to upload the scanned ‘TISS copy’ by login in to the online application system.

TISSNET Registration 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the registration form, candidates are advised to check their eligibility for the exam. The basic TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree of a minimum of 3 to 4 years duration or its equivalent from a UGC-recognized university.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply for TISSNET 2023.
  • At the time of applying, a candidate studying in a 3-year degree course must have passed all subjects of the first four semesters, and candidates studying in a 4-year degree course must have passed all subjects of the first six semesters.
  • Some Master’s courses have additional criteria. So, candidates are advised to refer to the course-specific eligibility criteria.
