KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, has inaugurated its Annual inter-institutional cultural fest, EPOQUE@Prastuti’24 on 11th April 2024, Thursday. The fest is filled with various inter and intra-institute events that were scheduled from 11th April to 13th April. The performances include Band War, Group Dance, Rap Battle, Nukkad Natak, Open Mic, Skit/Mime, Fashion Show, and Beat Boxing.

Nearly 150 teams from IIIT Allahabad, IIT Roorkee, Sharda University, Gargi College (DU), Amity University, AAFT (Noida), NIT Jalandhar, Ramjas College (DU), Galgotia University, ABES, RKGIT, and other institutes have registered for inter-institute events at KIET Ghaziabad.

Ms. Nalini and Ms. Kamilini who are Renowned Kathak Exponents and Padmashri Awardees, were presented at the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guests. Renowned Odissi Exponent & Social Worker, Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor were presented as the Guest of Honour. Mr Jai Suryawansi, Director & Founder, Dr Chandana Raul and Chairman of The Sports Grail Pvt. Ltd., JS Fashion World Production, was the Eminent Guest.

The inaugural ceremony began with the lamp lighting by Chief Guests and Guest of Honour in the presence of Dr Anil Ahlawat, Director in-charge, Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr Satish Kumar, Convenor-EPOQUE@Prastuti, Dr Pratibha Kumari, Co-Convenor-Intra Institute events, Dr Preeti Chitkara, Co-Convenor-Inter institute events and all the deans and heads of various department.

Ms. Nalini Asthana, the Chief Guest and the Padmashree Awardee has addressed and inspired the GenZ students to find pleasure in whatever they do. She stated that pleasure in Karm is the ultimate route to Moksha. She said that students are more inspired by the Western culture but our Indian culture and tradition are very beautiful and diverse. She further added that as Indians, we should feel proud of our roots and traditions and inspire our fellow mates as well. “One day, I would love to perform in this auditorium”, she said.

The importance of staying connected with the 3Ms in life was highlighted by Dr. Chandana Raul, namely Maa, Mati, and Matrabhasha.

All the activities are coordinated by the entire team of student coordinators along with the team of Dean Student Welfare and PR & International Relations Department are thanked by Dr. Manoj Goel.

In the cultural bonanza section, the students gave a mesmerizing tribute to the Indian culture through various folk dances and cultural performances. They also organized a fashion show that represented students in costumes from different states across the nation. Nonetheless, the event was followed by beatboxing, a logo reveal for EPOQUE@Prastuti., and a rap battle.

The intra-institute events took the official start after the ceremony came to an end with the felicitation of Chief Guests, Guest of Honour, and Eminent Guest.

In addition to the inter-institute events on the 12th & 13th of April, these days are also going to have Garba Night by Ms Preeti Bhalla and Star Night featuring Jubin Nautiyal, respectively. All-in-all, this 3-day fest is going to be a powerhouse of cultural extravaganza at its best.
