NM College Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship

Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students

  • A female candidate enrolled in either the First or Second year (through lateral entry) of a Degree level course studying at an AICTE-approved institution
  • Annual family income must not exceed 8 lakhs INR and the family should not have more than 2 daughters.
  • The scholarship will be provided on an annual basis through DBT.

Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially abled Students

  • Must be a specially-abled student, disability should be not less than 40%.
  • A candidate enrolled in either the First or Second year (through lateral entry) of a Degree level course studying at an AICTE-approved institution.
  • Annual family income must not exceed 8 lakhs INR.
  • All eligible specially-abled students will be granted the scholarship.

Swanath Scholarship Scheme for Students

  • Candidate must belong to an Orphan OR Lost either/both parents to Covid-19 OR Child of Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action (Shaheed) category.
  • Family income not exceeding 8 lakhs INR per annum.
  • Candidate must currently enrolled in AICTE Approved institutions, studying Degree/Diploma level courses (1st/2nd/3rd/4th year) in regular mode.
  • Should NOT be receiving any other scholarships from the Central Government, State Government, and AICTE Sponsored scholarship

*A valid income certificate from the State/UT Government is required for all three scholarship schemes (Pragati, Saksham, and Swanath).

NM College Key Points

Candidates must consider the below-mentioned points for the Pragati scholarship:

  • A maximum gap of 2 years is allowed between the qualifying exam and degree course admission.
  • Grievances about the merit list must be raised within 1 month of publishing.
  • Non-payment queries due to wrong account details are entertained only for up to 6 months.
  • Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
  • Reserved category students qualifying in the General Category merit list will be counted under the General Category
  • Failed/dropout students not eligible for further scholarship
  • No other financial assistance/scholarship is allowed simultaneously.
