Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placement is that you need to have 90% attendance in the training and placement cell meetings which is conducted after the first year. Actually, when you talk about placements, the placement rate is a little low as it is in Mumbai university and a government College, so there is not much focus on placements internships. You can get a letter from the placement cell for internships as well, but in all in summary, you need to develop yourself by using the college facilities and get a job yourself.

Remarks:

The basic reason for choosing this college in course is that this college provides you with a lot of opportunities. There are a lot of societies and cultural events that take place in the college and you will never be free in this college. Either you'll be studying or you will be in the fest events and Society meetings. Overall, the exposure that you get in Bombay and the curriculum they teach you everything from IKS to programming and everything in this course, so it is a stop solution for all.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts in the month of September with proper training bring provided from Second year only. There is no as such eligibility criteria for the placements you just have to attend the training sessions regularly. Many recruiters visit the campus of NM like Morgan stanley, JP morgan , Deloitte, EV , PWC etc and they did mass hiring and offering average package of 7-8LPA. Placements are still going on but the highest package as of now is 15LPA. Profiles offered by companies are consulting, etc. A major chunk of students are applying for masters so around 60-70% who applied for placements seriously have been placed already. I am also planning for my masters.

Remarks:

I always wanted to go to Narsee monjee college of commerce & economics because of the brand name and culture of the college. The environment in the college is very light. There are many committees and fests with very high ratings and covering all domains so you get a lot of exposure. For admission I gave Mincet exam which has now been discounted and admission is given on the basis of 12th percentages

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty is top notch and well qualified. New ways of teaching have been surely included in the course. Each classroom is well equipped with smart board which makes it easier for the faculty to teach and present slides.

Remarks:

No kind of written test or group discussions were there in the process of admission. It is purely on the basis of 12th boards marks. Good aspect about the college is the faculty and curriculum. The curriculum has so many new things to learn which is applicable in the real world. The co curricular activities are the tip of the iceberg which gives you a good social exposure and gives a chance to work with variety of people.

Placement Experience:

Highest - 12 lakhs Average 6 lakhs 250 students sit and almost all get placed Deloitte, EY ,zomato ,star tv,kpmg come. Maximum bcom students get place Most people are doing article ship or going for mba soo many people don't sit for placement

Remarks:

The good aspect about my college is the solid alumni network and also the fact that the crowd is very focused . Every other person is doing a profession degree or preparing for mba which installs a drive and urge to do something as well and not just waste those 3 years. The professors are very encouraging, helpful and approachable. There are about 30-32 committee. There are 2-3 events min planned in a week by the committees so the college is also bustling with music , laughter and fun. The bas thing about the college is there is no campus. Nm college construction is undergone so right now we are shifted to baghubai college which is also an svkm college . Other bad thing is you will have to tap into opportunities. Opportunities will not come to you . The second thing is that if you are an outstation student then the hostel and living expense is a bit too expensive. The average good hostel in vile parle would cost you around 450000.

Placement Experience:

The placement is really good almost 80-90% students get placed. The top companies are kpmg, delloit, pwc and other CA firms. The average package is around 5-6 lakhs rupees per annum. My plan is to not opt for campus placement as I want to do master's after bachelors

Remarks:

The admission is on the basis of 12th percentage. The cutoff is generally very high for all the programmes and you need to score atleast 86%. You will have to give Maharashtra cet for admission in bms programme.

Placement Experience:

Placements start in the 5th sem. I personally opted out of placements because i was pursuing Ca. But my friends applied for placements. So firstly there are training and placements sessions to train you for interviews and the whole placement process of companies. You have to attend those sessions and maintain 90 percent attendance to be eligible for placements. The companies that offer jobs are all the big4s and other conpanies like accenture, barclays etc. The average package ranges from 6-8 lakh ctc p.a. The highest package went upto 19 lakhs for which around 3 students were selected. There is a summer internship programme that you have to compulsorily complete in the 5th and 6th sem. The faculties help you get your internship but mainly you have to search it on your own.

Remarks:

At my time the college took Mincet which was its own admission test. It was a mcq round and you were selected on the basis of your score. Now they have removed this and they take only class 12th marks for admission. I chose this college because i also wanted to pursue CA along with graduation and by talking to seniors i got to know that college is very CA supportive. The classes started by 7 and got over till 12. Then i had whole day to study. Also almost half of the class in bcom hons would be pursuing CA while some other are doing CFA or ACCA and other professional courses. The faculties are all Chartered accountants as well. This all aligned with my goals and thats why i chose this college. Some drawbacks are that you have to have 70% attendance otherwise they starightaway debarred you. And if you are looking for a lavish campus with all sports and other facilities (like i did) then this college is not for you.

Placement Experience:

NM College had a decent placement record which produces a placement of 20-25% every year in the BFM course. The placements are offered to students who have really worked hard in their college years, getting a CGPA of 9 or above, doing a professional course simultaneously or maybe having an extraordinary extra co curricular record. The highest placement offered in the college last year was 12,00,000 while the average package is around 500000-600000. Deloitte is one of the top recruiter in the college. I am currently pursuing CMA US along with FYBFM and plan to do CFA after this, thus enhancing my chance to get a placement through the college.

Remarks:

NM College is one of the Maharashtra’s top college and if not the best also considered as a top college in India as well for commerce. This college is in Mumbai which is pretty close to my hometown, also Mumbai is the financial capital of India and as I wanted to pursue a career in finance I was all directed towards this college from all sides. Even my seniors and mentors had recommended this college very highly to me. The admission into this college is purely on merit basis and there are no separate written examinations or interviews to get into this college. The cut off for my course was 92% as in the general category. This college also has a separate Gujarati quota and I feel that this is one begrepen aspect of this college where there is more representation of one set of group.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties are well qualified, have been to Harvard and Oxford conferences. There teaching method is similar to ivarly colleges. Practical based approach is taken into consideration and not just theoretical.

Remarks:

For my admission, CUET was conducted and aggregate of CUET score and 12th Boards score was taken. But for this year college decided to take MH CET for BMS and the other courses get admission on the basis of 12th Boards score. The infrastructure, faculty of the college is 10/10 just the campus is missing.
