The Principal’s Meet-2023, organized by The Tribune Group of Newspapers in partnership with Chitkara University, gathered 140 delegates from schools in Tricity and its surrounding regions. The event, held in Chandigarh, was dedicated to discussing 'Innovative Pedagogy and Effective Teaching Learning' within the school system. Tailored exclusively for school principals and coordinators, the seminar garnered significant interest, attracting a notable attendance of 140 principals and teachers. Their enthusiastic participation reflected a shared eagerness to explore fresh and inventive educational methodologies.

Padma Shri awardee and esteemed scholar, Dr. Pushpesh Pant, graced the event as the main speaker. With his captivating presence, Dr. Pant shared his rich experiences as an educator, delighting the audience with intriguing anecdotes. He revealed a fascinating aspect of his upbringing, being homeschooled by his mother, who believed in initiating formal education only when a child displayed a genuine interest in attending school. Through this personal story, Dr. Pant underscored the effectiveness of home-based learning.

Principals exchanged ideas and insights on best practices in school management at the event. School leaders actively engaged in discussions about their roles. The keynote speaker also discussed the challenges faced by school heads in today's environment, saying that principals need to be free agents to create conducive learning environments. Innovative pedagogy plays an important role in effective teaching and learning. 

The seminar also emphasized the significance of vocational education in effectively preparing students for the dynamic job market. Dr. Pant emphasized that integrating vocational education into the curriculum is essential to equip students with hands-on skills, thereby augmenting their employability prospects.

They shared the university's recent endeavors, such as pioneering research initiatives and collaborative efforts, all aimed at enhancing the educational landscape in the region. Dr. Parul, Assistant Dean of the Department of Education, showcased the remarkable achievements of Chitkara University through an insightful presentation. The event reached its conclusion with a vote of gratitude expressed by Dr. Vani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Chitkara University.
