Chitkara University is accepting applications for UG and PG courses for the academic session 2026-27. Admission is based either on qualifying exam marks or entrance exam performance, depending on the course.

For B.E., students need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and at least 60% aggregate marks, along with a valid JEE Main score. For MBA, applicants need a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and must have appeared for CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT, followed by a personal interview. Courses without a specific national entrance test use qualifying exam marks and a university-level interview for selection.

Chitkara University UG Admission 2026

Chitkara University admits students to B.E. through JEE Main scores. B.Arch admission is based on NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 scores. For BCA, BBA, B.Com, BA and some other UG courses, selection depends on Class 12 marks and a personal interview.

Chitkara University UG Health Sciences, Pharmacy and Design Admission 2026

At the UG level, Chitkara University also offers B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma and Pharm.D. The B.Sc. course has 8 specializations.

For B.Sc., B.Physiotherapy, B.Optometry, B.Pharma and Pharm.D, the university considers Class 12 merit and performance in a personal interview. B.Sc. Animation and B.Sc. Interior Design admission is based on CUDAT.

For B.Sc. Post Basic Nursing, students must be registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. For B.Pharm (Practice), students need a Diploma in Pharmacy, registration as pharmacists and at least four years of pharmacy practice.

Chitkara University PG Admission 2026

Chitkara University offers M.E. in four specializations, M.Sc. in three specializations and MBA in eleven specializations. MCA, M.Pharma, M.Physiotherapy, M.Optometry, B.Ed. and M.A. are also available at the PG level.

For PG admission, applicants must hold a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks. MBA selection uses CAT, XAT, NMAT, MAT or CMAT scores, followed by group discussion and personal interview. For the other PG courses, the university conducts the entrance test and personal interview.

M.E. Construction Technology and Management applicants must have cleared GATE. Students with a CGPA of 6 out of 10 in their UG course are also treated as eligible for M.E. admission.

For M.E. Computer Science and M.E. Electronics & Communication Engineering, applicants with 2 years of work experience in industry or teaching can apply if they are currently employed in industry or teaching. Students who completed BPT through correspondence or distance education cannot apply for M.Physiotherapy.

Ques. How does Chitkara University reserve seats for different students?

Ans. Chitkara University follows these reservation rules:

25% of seats are kept for bona fide candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
15% of seats are reserved only for candidates of Punjab.
Seats for SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped and other categories are allotted as per State Government Policy.

Chitkara a good university

What I Liked

I like the campus very much . It so lush green and very good vibes for chill
I like there fest as they are so big , you enjoy them very well.

What I didn’t like

The fees is very high for a middle class person

Remarks:

There is no such examination to get seat in university you just to be 12th pass student and you have to gave jee exam once and they don't your jee scorecard. You just go in university give all the necessary documents and you can get seat in the university.

Review of chitkara university

What I Liked

Capus life infrastructure and moreover there is good sports area and gym for physical activities
And surely the hostel life is best u will enjoy there and u will get to learn a lot of things living in capus

What I didn’t like

Area of college is less , security is too high
As we cannot bring outside food inside the capus and there are so much restrictions

Remarks:

This college gives more opportunities as compared to other in same price range no I didn’t face any group discussions as at time of admission admission is taken based on marks scored in boards or in jee main

A Hub of Opportunities

What I Liked

Well-designed structure of Chitkara University that interacts students towards him.
The Professors are highly Qualified , knowledgeable and Supportive.

What I didn’t like

According to me many students include me find that guards to be overly strict and sometimes rude in enforcing rules.
The University has a very strict attendance policy making it difficult for students who are from states because it is difficult to take leaves .

Remarks:

I choose Chitkara University because of their Strong industry Connections, Good placement Record, and Proper Discipline. 200 + International partnerships for student exchange programs in Canada,USA.I had not given any Interview or Written Tests for admission.

Chitkar - pros and cons

What I Liked

The events held are quite good and enjoying
The curriculum here is industry oriented which I think is a plus point.

What I didn’t like

The campus size might seem less to many of the students.
The no. of cricket grounds is 1 which is less compared to number of students.

Remarks:

One of the main reason was fees as the other option that I had was very expensive and the other is it is near to where I live. It is very easy to get admission as there are counselling rounds for every percentage in 12th.

What I Liked

It's a pretty good campus with alot of outlets
Alot of small gardens are there and libraries

What I didn’t like

It is very much over crowded it's always rush
It is very far away from the main city .

Remarks:

Well it's was the only college with the course I want so I just selected this and enrolled in this course it was new to everyone in India only a few of them know about this course and chitkara University has great achievements in this course

Its was good experience

What I Liked

University campus infrastructure is good and overall experience was good
University provide all the facilities within the campus

What I didn’t like

University security is so tight which is also a good thing
Security guards don't have sense how to talk most of these abuse.

Remarks:

Good campus and good placement facility and I heard a lot about the chitkara University that it provides 100 percent placement facility to students and have very good MBA program with good learning experience.

Remarks:

To get admission in my college you must have the percentage scoured in 12th above 60% and give the JEE Mains exam, if you haven't given the JEE Mains exam the you must have the percentage above 80%. During the admission they tell us to come at Chitkara International School and there we only have to pay the fee which is 120000 rupees.

What I Liked

Campus friends and my first year mentor neha maam.

What I didn’t like

As i mentioned earlier mess food which is really boring
And 2nd most i can say is football games ground

Remarks:

In our when we join the college that was corona period so there was no interview taken and was just take admission on basis of jee score, this was the criteria for the admission in our time, thats it.

College life at Chitkara

What I Liked

The infrastructure is very well maintained, the greenery around the campus.
The faculty is also very good and helpful, people from various parts of the country make it diverse and no ragging is present at the college makes it easier for students to live and interact socially.

What I didn’t like

The sports exposure can be increased by supporting and boosting more in the sports field of the college.
The hostel fees should be lesser and more affordable with more facilities.

Remarks:

The factors that made me choose this college was the placement rate of the college for my interested course i.e Computer Science and Engineering which was better than other colleges in the state, also the infrastructure of the overall campus is very well maintained and beautifully built with great architect and good greenery around the campus.

I was choose this college for my graduation education due to some several reason in this university they provide quality of education .The admission process for this college they take admission on the basis of jee mains and merits . Marks required like 60 percent in physics , chemistry and math
