The four-day annual mega fest ‘Panash 24’ organized at Vivekananda Global University, concluded on Saturday evening with an awards ceremony and celebrity night live show. The chief guest in the program, the country's famous and emerging comedy queen Gurleen Pannu, created a lot of comedy with her sharp humor and acting style and made the audience laugh by adding a touch of entertainment and satire.

On this occasion, VGU Chairperson and former IAS Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, VGU Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eng. Onkar Bagaria distributed trophies and cash to the students, teachers and staff who won various competitions organized in the 'Panash 24' event. 

Speaking on the occasion, VGU Chairperson Dr. Lalit K. Panwar said that such events provide a platform to young minds to showcase their innovative ideas, talent and skills. He said that the youth should use their knowledge and technical skills for social welfare and humanity.

Underlining the importance of organizing such student-centric events, VGU Chief Executive Officer ((CEO) Eng. Onkar Bagaria said that PANAS is a cultural-cum-sports annual festival which showcases the talents and dreams of the youth at VGU, nurtures and shapes the university. The University is always committed to the holistic development of the students. He thanked all the participants including all the faculty and staff for making the event an unprecedented success.

The occasion awards ceremony event saw awards in various categories like Overall Rolling Trophy, Best Team, Highest Participation, Best Discipline and 9 Best Category Trophies along with cash prizes totaling Rs 200,000 distributed by the guests to the winners of the competitions. The four-day annual festival featured more than 50 events with participation from more than 100 teams and 50,000 participants.

The much-awaited annual festival ‘Panache 2024’ started on a colourful and spectacular note on 13 March, Wednesday at Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jagatpura. In the various competitions organized on the first day, the participants showed immense enthusiasm and passion in displaying their skills and art. The atmosphere of the campus seems to be drenched in festive colours.

The chief guest at the inaugural session of the mega fest was Mr. Bal Mukund Acharya, MLA from Hawamahal assembly constituency. On this occasion, dignitaries including the University Chairperson and retired IAS Dr. Lalit K. Panwar and University Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shri Onkar Bagaria were present.

In his address, Shri Acharya described the contribution of youth as important in building a strong India and said that our glorious diverse culture, art, and unity in diversity make us a world leader. Sanatan Dharma always gives the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam encompassing the objectives of the interests of the entire society. Acharya ji said that in this grand festival, the way students from different states displayed their colorful costumes and their art culture on one stage, a glimpse of a mini India was visible on the campus. I am overwhelmed by this and also congratulate the university management for this.

On this occasion, University Chairperson and retired IAS Dr. Lalit K Panwar in his address said that VGU is committed to the overall character and cultural development of the students along with studies. Motivating the students to achieve their goals, he said that hard work and determination are necessary to achieve success in life and there is no shortcut to success. There is a need to identify one's field and work honestly in it.

CEO of VGU University Eng. Onkar Bagaria said that this great festival is a unique confluence of knowledge, science, and art. Such events provide a better platform for young talents to showcase their skills and talents. Also, we have to know and cherish the different cultures of different states of the country. He said that the number of contestants is also increasing every year due to the increasing popularity of BGU's Annual Fest. The Competitions have been made more competitive, creative, innovative, and interesting.

The 1st day of the program started with the Ethnic Walk event where students showcased the cultural diversity of the country with their artistic skills. They also showcased various traditional costumes from different states of the country. At the same time, teachers of all the departments also took part in the ethnic walk in the costumes of different states. The first day was successful where students along with teachers and staff showed immense enthusiasm and passion in showcasing their talents, skills, and art in various competitions.

During this four-day-long festival, there are a lot of exciting and enjoyable cultural events and competitions. There will be many interesting and tough competitions to win the competitions. Students will also enjoy cultural and entertainment programs daily.

In this great confluence of technical, educational, cultural, and diverse sports events full of entertainment and thrill, about 50 events will be held for four days, in which more than 100 teams and more than 5000 participants are participating from VGU.
