Tie-Breaking Criteria of TANCET 2023 Rank List

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) follows the following process to resolve it If there is a tie between two or more candidates in TANCET

• The candidate with a higher average percentage of marks from the first semester/year to N-1 semesters/years in the qualifying degree examination will be given preference.
• If the tie persists even after considering the average percentage of marks, the older candidate based on the date of birth mentioned in the SSLC certificate will be given preference. The older candidate will be ranked higher.
