Common Seat Allocation System or CSAS portal is DU’s admission portal for undergraduate courses. DU CSAS Portal 2024 is open for registration of candidates for Undergraduate admissions to various courses in colleges affiliate to Delhi University. You can access the portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in your details such as CUET Application Number and your Date of Birth to register for DU counselling.

CUET Results are likely to be declared on June 30, 2024. CUET Provisional Answer keys will be declared soon by the NTA. DU UG counselling will be conducted based on your CUET scores. 

A lot of candidates have claimed that they were ousted during the DU CSAS counselling process last year due to their failure to respond to queries. Ensure that you do not repeat the same errors this year. Check your dashboard, email, and admission website regularly after registering for CSAS (UG)- 2024 so as not miss any communication.

How to Apply for CSAS UG 2024?

You can apply for admissions via CSAS portal after Delhi University CUET cutoffs are released. Here are steps to apply for CSAS portal and a list of documents required for CSAS UG registration:

• Use your CUET UG 2024 application number to register. 
• Your name, signature, and photo will be integrated from your details in CUET UG 2024 portal.
• Pay the application fee and keep record of the transaction details.
• Make sure you select the programme + college combinations with care.
• You can select as many programmes as you want as long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria for those programmes.
• Programmes selected during your preference filling will be considered for seat allocations.
• You cannot change preference list after preference list change window closes.
• Confirm programme specific CUET score for the programmes selected by you.
• The order of your programme+college combinations will determine your preference order.
• For example: If you select BA English in Hindu college as your first preference in order then it will be considered as your first choice during the counselling phase.
• Delhi University will consider criterias such as your programme specific merit, your category, availability of seats while allocating seats.
• You can participate in further rounds of counselling only if you accept the allloted seat within the desginated time.
• If you do not accept the seat the you will be removed from CSAS counselling process. 
• If you are allotted multiple colleges and programmes then you must choose one.
• The college you select will verify your document and details.
• Your college will only consider CUET UG 2024 language and domain specific papers in whicch the candidates has passed his/her class XII exam. 
• College may also seek a query from you regarding a document and you will have to respond. If you do not respond then you will be removed from CSAS counselling. Queries will be in your CSAS dashboard. 
• Once college approves your seat, you will have to pay the admission fees and only after payment, your seat allotment will be successful. 
• If your seat is cancelled due to failure of payment then you will be out of CSAS counselling process. You will only be able to take part in spot round.

CSAS Freeze and Upgrade of Seats

• CSAS will let you upgrade and freeze your seats once display of vacant seats are release. Vacant seats are released after completion of first round of CSAS counselling:
• You can only upgrade your college and programme choices that are above and not those which are lower. For example, if your choice 1 was Hansraj College and you were allotted your choice 4, then you can upgrade to Hansraj if there is a vacant seat. In case you were allotted Kirorimal College as your choice 1 and you want LSR which was your choice 2, then you will not be able to select it as it will be a choice lower than your original choice.

DU CSAS Tie Breaker Rules

There is a chance of candidates having the same CUET UG scores for a programme which may lead to a tie. Delhi University has its own tie breaker rules in that case and they are highlighted below:

• Candidates with higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best three subjects in 10+2 will be given preference.
• If tie persists, then candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best four subjects in 10+2 will be given preference.
• If tie persists, then candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best five subjects in 10+2 will be given preference.
• If tie persists, then candidates with an earlier date of birth will be given preference. Date of birth in your Class X marksheet will be given preference.

Documents for DU CSAS

Here is a list of documents required for DU CSAS:

• Your Class X Marksheet indicating your name, Date of birth, and parents’ name.
• Your Class XII Marksheet. Your name must match with CUET UG 2024 application.
• Category certificates issued by competent authorities.
• OBC-NCL certificate issued by competent authorities. Income certificatre must be issued after March 31, 2024 and your certificate has to be of central level. State level documents will not be considered.
