What's new in CUET UG 2026 Registration?
CUET application form correction window has opened on 9 February 2026. As per the official notice, you can correct particulars in your CUET application form till 11 February 2026.
CUET registration 2026 has concluded on 31 January 2026. Registration for CUET 2026 started on 3 January 2026.
- CUET application fee was INR 1000 for general candidates and INR 400 for each additional subject chosen.
- For OBC/EWS, CUET application fee was INR 900, and for SC/ST/PWD, it was INR 800
- CUET application fee for centres outside India was INR 4500 and INR 1800 for each additional subject
- Eligibility for CUET includes 50% marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
- CUET 2026 exam is scheduled from May 11 to 31, 2026.

Does class 12th marks matter in CUET?

CUET Application Process
CUET application process includes 3 steps including registration, application form filling, and application fee payment.
- CUET Registration: This includes filling of CUET registration form using personal, address and contact details and generating a password.
- CUET Application Form Filling: This includes filling up of CUET application form using details like personal, academic qualification, choice of exam cities, and uploading of required documents.
- CUET Application Fee Payment: This includes payment of CUET application fee as prescribed by the concerned authority.

CUET 2025 Seat Reservation
As per the Government of India’s reservation guidelines, the CUET 2025 seat reservation policy ensures fair opportunities for candidates belonging to underprivileged categories. Universities participating in CUET provide seat reservations for categories such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backwards Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- Candidates must provide valid category certificates to claim reserved seats.
- PwD reservation (5%) applies within each category (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, General)
- Some institutes have state-based quotas, especially for domicile students.
- Some universities have supernumerary quotas (additional seats) for specific groups such as Kashmiri migrants or children of defence personnel.

Normalised score or normalization of score in CUET refers to a technique to compare applicant scores uniformly across test sessions. This process is necessary to keep CUET(conducted over multiple days and sessions with various sets of questions) fair to all test-takers.
For this purpose, CUET scores are given in percentiles rather than raw scores. A percentile score of 95, for instance, means that 95% of the applicants performed at a level that was lower or equal to that of the candidate.
Also note that CUET UG Retest 2024 was held on July 19, for the candidates who have been affected by the CBT mode issue and lodged a complaint within July 9. You can expect that the final percentiles and results will be normalised to ensure fairness.
