What's New in CUET 2026?
With over 280 universities participating in CUET (UG) counselling, it has become India's second-largest UG entrance exam. Initially, it started with approximately 75+ CUET participating universities, and the list has grown to 4 times.
- Counselling 2025 will commence after the announcement of the CUET UG result 2025, the participating institutes releases the admission application form, CUET cut off or CUET merit lists of registered candidates qualifying for the exam and meeting the eligibility and cutoff criteria of that institute or university.
- Along with releasing a scorecard, NTA will share candidates’ scores with universities they had opted for while filling out the CUET application form 2025.

Is 400 a Good Score in CUET?
A score of 400 in CUET is considered quite low for admission into top colleges. Here’s how it compares:
- For top colleges like Miranda House, St. Stephen’s, Hindu College, and SRCC, the cutoff scores usually range between 700-800, making 140 far below the required range.
- For mid-tier colleges like Rajdhani College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, and Kirori Mal College, the cutoffs generally fall between 600-750, still making 140 insufficient.

Document Verification For Counselling
- Upload the necessary documents including scorecard, academic mark sheets, caste certificate, income certificate, etc.
- After the review of your documents, the university will invite you to the next step of the counselling procedures.
- During the counselling procedure, you must present all relevant documentation for validation. These records include birth certificates, grade reports, educational certificates, etc.
Is there Seat Allotment For CUET 2025?
Yes there is CUET UG 2025 Seat Allotment 2025. The process is conducted by individual universities based on CUET scores, category, and seat availability.
Candidates must participate in the counselling process and complete the choice-filling stage to be considered for seat allotment. Below is the detailed process:

CUET UG 2025 Counselling : Spot Round
- To be considered in a Spot Admission round, the candidate must opt for 'Spot Admission' through his/her dashboard.
- A desirable candidate can select only those Program + College combinations with vacant seats per the Category.
- It will be mandatory for the candidate to be admitted to the seat allocated in a Spot round.
- Failure to accept the allocated seat in the Spot Admission round will forfeit the candidate's eligibility for admission to Delhi University, and s(he) will be out of the CUET Counselling process.
- There will be no option for 'Upgrade' and 'Withdraw' during the Spot Admission rounds.
- The seat allocated in a particular Spot Admission round will be final and will not be upgraded in any subsequent round/s of Spot Admission.

Normalised score or normalization of score in CUET refers to a technique to compare applicant scores uniformly across test sessions. This process is necessary to keep CUET(conducted over multiple days and sessions with various sets of questions) fair to all test-takers.
For this purpose, CUET scores are given in percentiles rather than raw scores. A percentile score of 95, for instance, means that 95% of the applicants performed at a level that was lower or equal to that of the candidate.
Also note that CUET UG Retest 2024 was held on July 19, for the candidates who have been affected by the CBT mode issue and lodged a complaint within July 9. You can expect that the final percentiles and results will be normalised to ensure fairness.
