For getting this college you need to give JEE Advanced exam. You can get this college if you have 20K rank in Advanced and from general category. From this college ISRO directly recruits you after a interview.
Most of the faculties are PhD holders and have a very good teaching skills. If you want to do research it is one of the best institute in India. Curriculum is very difficult though. They don't give marks easily and you have to earn your grade through hardwork.
I have done internship in SAC Ahmedabad, you can get ISRO internship easily if you are from IIST. You will also get guest house there for your stay. You can also do internship in IIT's or IISc or in IIST itself.
From our college most of the people get absorbed by ISRO and those who can't get ISRO sit for campus placement. Many different companies like Agnikul, Accenture etc... come for campus placement. Last year out of 64, 43 students went to ISRO and 11 got job from placement cell and rest opted for higher education.
Every year fee structure is almost same and mess charges are given separately. You can get concession on fee if you belong to SC/ST or EWS. You can get scholarship if you can maintain your CGPA 9+ in each semester.
Campus life is not very good here. This college is completely focused on academics and not on co-curricular activities. But now they are making changes to the curriculum and campus life. Soon in a few years the campus life will improve significantly. We have a very beautiful library in IIST and class rooms are also good.
Hostel rooms are very good and infrastructure is also good. Hostel rooms are allotted based on roll numbers, although you can change your roommate by mutual decisions. Mess food is good for health but it doesn't tastes good.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
