there are many factors one should consider to get into VJTI but I'll share my thoughts on this. VJTI is one of the top colleges in Maharashtra and has a very strong alumni network. This prestige college has run for more than 100 years. VJTI is chosen by many students because of its placement cell called a TPO( training and placement office) which is responsible for providing students with jobs and internships in this college. super talented professors are gems here especially professors of Civil and structural departments who have very good networks outside the campus and have experience of more than 30-40 years making them masters in their subjects.
I have chosen Civil engineering purposely because of my confidence, I know I am a street-smart person and know how to handle my theoretical knowledge and use it in real-life problems. because compared to other branches civil branch has to deal with ground-level problems so just having theoretical knowledge is not enough. faculty in my department are super qualified, every professor is Phd and master's degree holder. many professors are multiple phd holders. The exams conducted here are harder compared to other colleges. because the only difference a college can make is by making their student quality hance VJTI has fewer seats compared to other colleges.
VJTI as being government-aided college, can provide good quality to students at lower prices. a general category student needs to pay about rs.85501/- as his/her first-year college fees. VJTI also provides scholarships both private and government. As I am an SC category student I had to pay about rs.4701/- in my first year, rs.2000/- in 2nd year, rs.1500/- in 3rd year and will need to pay rs.2000/- in my 4th year. VJTI offers many scholarships to girl candidates as well.
VJTI has many cultural and sports events throughout the year. Pratibimb and Rangavardhan are the cultural events, Enthusia is the sports event and Technovanza is our tech event. Besides all these vents every branch has its events too like Civil has Sthapatya, textile has there Vastra etc. College is very supportive towards students' involvement in the fest.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
