No, as I was an inhouse student I got it on that basis, for outsiders it was a bit difficult as we have just come through the lockdown phase and the closing of the percentage was 90%. Hinduja College is a good college for courses like BMS, BAF and BMM.
I chose this course because it perfectly aligned with my career aspirations and goals and offered me a deep dive into the areas that I wanted to gain more knowledge about (Human resources) that the majority of colleges didn't offer in this specific field. The faculty are highly qualified and they give deep insights related to the topic. Especially Shraddha Mam she was my favourite. Teaching methods were fun, GD sessions, PPT etc. The faculty is also very supportive. Regarding the exams, it was according to the Mumbai university's guidelines and schedule.
No, I have not opted for any placement through college as I had other opportunities online and have been considering that since, but I have attended seminars and webinars through college and have learned a lot about career opportunities and skills.
The college provides numerous placements through job opportunities and even internships via WhatsApp group so that it is convenient for the students to pursue according to their liking. The college itself conducts workshops and seminars for such thing.
It was approx 17000 for the first year, 18000 for the second year and 19000 for the third year. Registration fees were 500 and tution fees approx 2500. Merit based on sc, OBC and St. Rest was secondary.
There's a library on the second floor, has an air conditioner proper room and is very big. Variety of books and you can even take it for a few days based on your college ID. There is 2 are labs and an auditorium. Air-conditioned classrooms for all the UG courses and even for PG! Lots of events are held by the faculty like tremor, panache seminars etc
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
