PI/WAT is the entrance exam for this college. For PI, that is personal interview, they measure the soft skills of the applicant, his/her confidence in speaking and to some extent his/her knowledge. WAT, that is Written Ability Test, is an aptitude based test which examines your basic thinking skills, how you interpret a question and how creatively you can form answers.
This course demands technologists which are in potentially high demand and will gain alot of perspective in the coming years. This is a practical field which lowkey gives a sense of being so close to being a doctor but in a shorter period of time. Faculties are highly qualified here and everyone believes in smart teaching instead of the theoretical book mugging ups. Very well explained notes are provided by the faculties of respective subjects. Exams take place at the end of every semester, that is every 5-6 months. The difficulty of exams depends on the preparation of the student but to generalise it, it's moderately difficult.
?80,000 for each semester. There are 8 semesters in total, which is 4 years course. One scholarship that applies for girl students, named as SCOPE. Students of SCOPE category need not pay tuition fees. Another type of scholarship that works is, a student who's tops first two semesters, get his/her fees for 3rd semester rembersed.
SIHS in itself does not organise its own fests, apart from AIKYAM, which takes place in the month of September. Apart from SIHS, other colleges organise multiple fests throughout the year, like PANACHE, TRANSCEND, AVYANNA, etc. All types of sports are provided in the college and inter-college sports tournaments are held for basketball, football, badminton, swimming, dance, yoga, gymnastics, cricket, volleyball, etc
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
