- The green campus full of trees is best in iit bhu. Faculties are also decent and well qualified .
- Hostels for first and second year are really very good.
Dislikes
- teaching manner is outdated and static. Cleanliness problem is there in campus
- As BHU has open campus rule there is a lot of rush of bikes cycle even though cars!
Remarks :
Surely to join an IIT you must have- 75% or + marks in 12th class or please visit jee advanced site to get proper knowledge for top 20 percentile in State boards. You have to pass JEE mains exam and clear the cutoff. JEE advanced is the last examination you have to clear and get a decent rank. Various categories have various cutoff generally SC and ST students are more benefited and then OBC NCL and Gen-EWS. If you are SC ST students it is very easy to join IIT as IITs have reservations.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified so there is no issue regarding it. but you will face some issues as their teaching manner is very very poor. They just come and delivers lecture their duty is finished. 6/10 faculties are good so don't worry about academics you can easily get lecture on internet/ youtube.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships facilities in iit bhu are just same like placement network and companies visit regularly to hire students. You must maintain a decent CPI of 7.5+ companies can set their own criteria and may conduct tests and interviews if not hired for internships you can go for off campus placement or upskill yourself.
Placement Experience :
IIT BHU has best alumni network and alumni network is directly proportional to placements!! First thing that decides placement is the placement cell of your institution, so I can surely say IIT BHU has a good placement cell. Average package for mechanical engineering is 18 -20 lPA. You can check the details on any website easily.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
IITs nearly have 8-10 lpa fees for four year btech program.In IIT BHU For a year it is roughly 2 -2.5 lpa yearly including mess , hostel , tution fees and miscellaneous charges. For OBC NCL and Gen-EWS candidate tution fees of 2/3rd is not taken you will get benefit of it. full fee waiver is there (in tution fees) For SC and ST students. You have to pay hostel expenses and other charges for students income less than 1 lpa full fee waiver is there in tution fees. Please get detailed information by searching IIT BHU freshers.
Campus Life :
IIT BHU is famous for its fests. Spardha:- a sports festival conducted every year is regarded as largest Games and sports festival Technex:, aagaman ( for freshers) Kashi yatra are different fests time to time. Every sport facilities us available in IIT BHU such as basketball, football, cricket, badminton etc.Shrinivas Deshpande library is present in IIT BHU you can get every book related to your curriculum.
Hostel Facilities :
Prafulla Chandra Ray hostel is there for freshers. Satish Dhawan is for 2nd year. Both the hostels are identical in 3rd &4th year you may get old hostels. As of PC Ray and Satish Dhawan are new they provide good infrastructure and facilities. Such as clean washroom, water coolers, mess, geysers,dhobi or washing machines etc. Girls hostel are also there tey have the facilities.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
