- It has very good placement and almost everyone will get placed if they are serious enough with a salary of minimum 7LPA. Maximum salary can go up as high as 1.65 Cr PA or more. Average salary for circuital branch is around 20LPA+.
- It has an overall good coding culture and good extracurricular activities.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is a bit old, although new equipments are being installed everywhere, but right now infrastructure gives a dull vibe.
- No single seater rooms available to any student.

Average salary for circuital branch is around 20+ LPA. Seniora are very approachable and helpful and many wellness and Student Services are also provided in the college to help students. Online mentorship for YourDost platform is also provided free of cost. Annual socio-cultural fest Kashiyatra, Annual technomanagement fest is Technex. Campus life is great, offers diverse exposure to everything from music-dance to coding and hackathons. Sports is also given priority here. Overall 8.5/10. Good opportunities, regular participation in Inter IITs. We have a vast library, that includes collection of numerous books from old core conceptsbooks to the latest recent books, over 50,000+ offline books avaliable here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum of IIT BHU's B.Tech program is highly relevant and comprehensive, offering a belnd of theoretical knowledge and practical applications. A key aspect that influenced my decision to choose the course (EEE) was the inclusion of modern subjects, like Modern Power Electronics, and Modern Control System. The availability of course in advanced areas allows student to specialize and explore fields of their interest. Area of improvement can be to add more new courses, like AI/ML, etc. Faculty members are highly knowledgeable and experienced, with many holding doctoral degrees and having significant research contributions in their respective fields. Faculties are generally friendly and collaborative, with most professors being approachable for academic and research oriented discussion. Semester exams : there are two exams. Mid sems starts approximately 1.5 - 2 months after the semester begins. Endsem approximately 1.5 months after mid sems.
Internships Opportunities :
In IIT BHU, internship stats are great. Many companies visit for internships, many give PPO to students as well. The internship process is like, there will be first resume screening, then we have to give online tests of those companies, after that quick 2-3 round of interviews. Then we get the offer. Got internship in JSPL, where the task was to analyse and predict carbon emission from burning fuel and to develop a sustainable prototype model using SVR models. Stipend offered was aroung 50k/month. In my branch batch, (Electrical Engineering), 70-80 students got the internship offers.
Placement Experience :
In terms of placements, I would say IIT BHU has excellent placements stats. It is not too hard to get placements here, if you are serious enough for it. This year 220+ people got PPOs (pre-placement offers), and most of the mass got placed in first 5 days of placement interviews in December,2024 (around 800), companies are still visiting in high amount after the first week of placements. We saw a huge diversity in companies that visits the campus placements, Google, DeShaw, Oracle, Microsoft, Flipkart, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Walmart, OLA, Zomato, Uber, Groww, PhonePe, Sprinklr are a few of them (total 250+ companies and profiles). Placement stats have improved a lot from the past year recession period. TPRs are very supportive and there is a strict action against cheating in placements. Major profiles are Software, DA/DS, Business/Consulting, and Product.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for B.Tech in IIT BHU is like : The yearly tuition fee is INR 1,00,000, examination fee is 500 INR, registration / enrollment fees is 200 INR, Gynkhana fees is 1000 INR, Festival activities 150 INR, Medical Facilities 300 INR, Student amenities subscription INR 250, Hostel seat rent 300 INR, fan / electricity / water charges 1200 INR, hostel development fund fees 2250 INR, Campus services 200 INR, medical insurance 365 INR. This brings total yearly fee approximately to 106715 INR. The fee structure has been consistent for our batch and shows no significant increase over the years. Students from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) or those admitted through special quotas have some fee waivers. Additionally, several government and private financial need aid programs, such as Inspire Scholarship and other state-level scholarships, are accesible to students. The overall affordability of the course is reasonable, considering the facilities provided by the institution
Campus Life :
Nightlife is mesmerizing, we often visit ghats that are outside the campus. Outside you will have city life feeling. You will also see foreigners in ghats, and many holy rituals being conducted. Gives a very oure and relaxing vibe here. Inside campus is also good, clean air and fresh environment. Library is open til 1-2AM at night. Canteens are open till 4AM in some hostels, you can go there to eat. Gymkhana/SAC (Student Activity Center) generally closes by 8PM. Restriction on movement to raods that led to girls hostel after 10PM, you have to show ID card, and give proper reason, so no trespasser is allowed, Campus timings are 8AM-5PM, at max 4-5 classes will be held per day. Famous hangout places are obviously Ghats, Assi ghat, and VT (Viswanath Temple) inside the campus. Safe to roam outside after night, and barricates, police booths, night guards, CCTV have been installed.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are good, and good wifi, LAN , Geysers, vending machines, common rooms, cantens, camera for security, badminton courts, big lawns, open surrounding, washing machines. Planning to have AC in common rooms also. Meals are tasty and good, we have astwik mess for only vegans. Overall rooms are decent, 1st year gets 3 seater rooms, 2nd year onwards 2 seater rooms. No single rooms available till now. Infrastructure is good. Quite old in some places but renovation work is going on. Planning to provide AC in most of the classes for students. Campus is overall green and beautiful. Only con is that IIT BHU is open campus, so you will generally see campus main road in traffic. But majority of campus (most of it), restricts traffic from entering in inner areas so it is good.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
