good aspects : 1. it is old govt medical college (est. 1959) hence offers a top notch medical education 2. brilliant acedemic 3. good infra structure 4. high patient load for better understanding and practicals 5. highly qualified professors and tutors bad points: 1. there is not much bad point about this college but being in odisha you will face a litle bit language problem as many students and teacher prefers to speak in odia, which is much similar to bangali. admission process : 1. admission in this college requires your NEET score card and documents mentioned in the college website 2. to take admission in this college you have to clear a high cut-off. your rank should be within 14k (from general catagory) hence the selection rate is 0.1%
Course Curriculum Overview :
VIMSAR offers two types ofundergraduate courses : MBBS and B.SC nursing MBBS course has a tenure of 5.5 years in which 1 year you have to do a paid internship. 1. Faculties are highly qualified with MD, MS, SS, Phd. 2. their teaching methods are top notch with various facilities and instrument required for practical 3. there are 3 internal exams called IATs (Internal Assesment Test) and final exam which is Medical Board Exam (MB) also kown as Proff exam
Internships Opportunities :
after completing 4.5 years of mbbs you have to do a paid internship of 42075, which is highest paid internship in India. Internship duration is of 1 years with postings in various departments of the hospital
Placement Experience :
Being in government medical college you need not to worry for placement. after completing 4.5 years of MBBS you will have to do a paid internship of 42075( which is highest paid internship in whole india), then you can opt to do JRship or study for PG
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
total fees at the time of admission is 38050, being a government college it has very less fees as compared to private medical colleges hostel fees is 10,000 for 5.5 years which is included in 38050 mess fees is 4500 per month. many alternate mess is also available so overall cost of food per month ranges from 4k - 5k
Campus Life :
1. Infrastructure wise this college is very good, spread in 180 acres of land 2. campus life is very awesome, there is a student union of 23 members of 4th year students elected by students of the college they organise various fests and functions in college 3. There is a wide range of extra cirricular activties like sports, cultural, drama, journal events, litrary events and much more
Hostel Facilities :
1. food quality in hostel is average. but mess offers a wide variety of foods depending on the days of the week 2. you will be provided a good hostel by the college with 2 seaters and 3 seaters rooms. 3. alternately you can chose to live outside the hostel too in PGs

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
