- Faculty of my course was way too supporting be it in academic sense, future career counselling or something other than that.
- Liking about college were the students and a completely different experience just coming after school .
Dislikes
- Infrastructure could have been improved as we compare it with other DU colleges of south campus and the other ones too.
- Campus life was more or less normal not too much fun part was there as we see it in other DU colleges . Not many programs and events other than the academic ones were conducted or something related to cultural. The annual cultural fest was an average fest too
Remarks :
At the time of admission in 2021, the admission was based on merit which was on the basis of class 12th board marks. Afterwards the admission process was completely based on CUET-UG exam and the admission process is online till date . At my time of admission it was online too. The admission process has changed slight a bit but more or less it is the same the thing which is changed is just the CUET marks are considered and instead of cutoffs now, CSAS ( Common seat allocation system ) has been introduced . My reasons for choosing RLA was basically its infrastructure and the presence of it in the main south campus road and the environment of the college and its nearby colleges too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My personal reason for choosing political science was my keen interest since i opted for humanities in class 12th. After getting enrolled your political thoughts and debate skills and point raising skills gets sharpened enough and the beliefs regarding democratic behaviour and participation gets increased too. The faculty consisted of teachers who all had done P.hd in political science from various famous universities like DU and JNU The teaching method include classroom teachings through open debates and readings. Political science class was way more debatable class and included learning from everyone’s thoughts
Internships Opportunities :
No, i didn’t opted for any internship or something like that. But, yes the college did have the internship and placement cell which organised internship fair and placements twice a year sometimes share links of other placement cells of college and help the students in participating.
Placement Experience :
Placement cell is available which organise internship fair and placement opportunities twice a year. Mostly students admitted in BA plan to do government exams preparation after graduation and some plan to do masters programme
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees i paid was around 12-13k around every year. The thing was that the when i enrolled the course and fees was according to CBCS program. From the next batch, the NEP program got implemented and so the fee structure got revised too. Yes the college too have the provision to increase fees by 10% every year. The security deposit which was at the time of admission was ?500 and the fees after implementation of NEP was around ?18-19k for BA ( H ) Political Science.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is named SPLENDOUR. It is conducted basically in feb-april depending upon the union and college. The college library has an OPAC system and has all books for all the courses in the college. It includes journals and research papers of some people which are published in the journals. Talking about the sports facilities, the college has a sports room for indoor games which includes chess , carrom ,table tennis and outdoor sports includes cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, kho-kho, etc Every year department games are conducted from which the players are selected for the college teams which further participates in inter-college tournaments and from that the students get selected in the university team and participates in inter-university and national games. Societies includes dance,drama,singing,anchoring,debate(english and hindi both) and NCC& NSS
Hostel Facilities :
The college does not have a hostel facility. For the outstation students the facility of independent flats and PG’s are available in the nearby area of college which includes satya niketan, anand niketan, basant gaon, munirka, etc. Anand niketan is a very good and posh locality with various embassies too. The basic pay for a PG in anand niketan in triple sharing was around ?17-18k which included a bed, 3 time meal, cleaning facilities and air conditioned room. The independent single room at satya niketan starts from ?10k and PG starts from ?7k

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
